Some people like to buy the new systems just for the fact that they are new and want to be one of the first people to get it. On the other hand there are some people that didnt care to get one. Then one day they heard about some game that was coming out on it or a game that was already out on it and it made them want to buy the system. If you fall into that catagory then post here the game that made you want to buy one of the new systems that are out and if you regret making the purchase or not?

Reasons I got these-
PS2-Grand Theft Auto 3
X Box-Halo
Gamecube-Legend Of Zelda: Windwaker

Nothing really, the PS2 was newer and better than the PSX, so I bought it. Got a pretty good deal too. Two games (GT3 and Crazi Taxi) memory card and steering wheel for about £300. This was within the first few weeks of them being out mind you.

Although it took me longer to get the X Box than the other two...

For Gamecube, was definatly the Wind Waker.

For the PS2, it was a combination of MGS2, GTA3, and the Final Fantasy series.

I have every Nintendo system since NES, simply because they're Nintendo systems.

I don't really remember why I got a Genesis.

I got my PlayStation for WWF War Zone, then got the PS2 because I was so impressed by PS1.

When I bought my PS2 I remember buying GTA III, Madden '02, All-Star Baseball '03, and Smackdown Know Your Role on the same day. So I guess those games were my reason.

I always buy Nintendo. I am a fan 4 lyf. The only thing of theirs I will never ever own is the Virtual Boy.

I'll probably get a PS2 for all the fighting and adventure games.

Got Nintendo for Legend of Zelda, Paperboy and Super Mario Brothers

I got Sega Genesis for Sonic the Hedgehog :D

Got PS1 for Crash Bandicoot and Driver

Got PS2 when it was like 2 years old, without any games in mind really. It was pretty cheap and it had a DVD player built in. I still only have just a few games, and they're all sports games.

PlayStation 2 - Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. I wanted to get my PS2 by launch time, but I knew that would be impossible. I waited until February the year after to get it, and by that time we were told that Konami would be releasing MGS2 for the PS2. That's all I needed to know.

GameCube - Unlike the PS2, I actually waited for a game I would actually want to play. I had played my brother's GCN shortly after the system was released here in America, and I didn't find a single game that made the purchase of the system a necessity. I waited until Super Mario Sunshine came out, but I was disappointed. SMS wasn't the genre-defining game its predecessors were, and not even close to the best 3D platformer out there. I wasn't disappointed for getting the 'Cube, since eventually good games would be released for it, but I was disappointed for buying it so soon and for a game that did not deserve it.

Xbox - Shenmue II. I had spent hours on the first game for the Dreamcast, so I was really looking forward to playing the sequel. I got what I asked for.
