It's Lacuna Coil. :p

And they only get the comparison because they both have female singers. They're not that alike.

And because people are idiots and believe that if they both have women fronts, they're obviously similar.

The comparison's like comparing John Coltrane to Limp Bizkit. Whether you think one is better than the other is irrelevent--The grounds for comparison are slim...

Why? You hate him as a singer/performer or do you hate that he is in VH and not DLR?

I think he is a very good singer. When I went to see VH in concert, Sammy sang the DLR songs better than DLR ever could. Dunno, just my opinion. DLR is definitely the better showman/frontman from an entertainment standpoint.

Also I want to add Prince to my list.

Things Lacuna Coil have in common with Evanescence:

They have a female front.
They have instruments.
They have a female front.
They process their instruments for a "heavy" sound.
They have a female front.
They also have a female front.
Stop me if I missed anything guys, I'm having trouble working with the lack of imagination it takes to compare the two sonically, lyrically, or personel-wise.
