I mean like a very big faction. Like a 5-man team.

When the writing team thinks up one, writes up a storyline, executes it, and completes it.

That's A monday, which means....Three or Four Smackdown guys, invade Raw, and beat the living crap out of Evolution?

Then the following week HHH will go over all four of them in a handicap match.

God, HHH jokes are losing all their flavor.

It seems to me that evolution is dying. I hope Orton gets that title back.

Hopefully soon after SS SD! will get a faction formed.

And probably the next time soon Orton would get a shot at HHH's belt would be 'Mania 21--what better place to do it?

Two years later, they're still here.

Factions aren't always a good thing. Unless they put some reasoning behind it. Mexicools were decent because the guys involved were great (I know it';s not a big faction, but whatever), but really, it was just a case of "let's slap together 3 wetbacks." Great wrestlers, but really not the foundation of a good faction.

Wasn't JBL's Cabinet around at that time? If not, then that's already happened...

JBL, Jillian, Doug, Danny, Orlando...

Kane Knight

IT was, but it didn't feel like a faction.

Xero

But it technically was a stable. It didn't feel like one mainly because they didn't have another one to feud with. They were feuding with singles wrestlers for the most part.

So was Evolution, but they felt like one.

The difference is Evolution was more than a bunch of hirees with little to no connection to one another.

I'd love to see Randy Orton front a new stable, consisting of Masters, Kennedy, & Benjamin. That would rock. A potential Orton/Kennedy feud down the line would be gold.

Of course, one way or another, two people would have to move.

Of course, one way or another, two people would have to move. Yeah, I would move Masters & Benjamin during the draft. Masters just because the group would need a muscle, and I think he would fit in well.

At least he'd fit with the youth aspect of the team.

blake639raw
03-04-2006, 12:43 PM
At least he'd fit with the youth aspect of the team. That would pretty much be the theme of the group, the young blood. You have Orton as the leader, Masters as the muscle, Kennedy as the comedy act (even though he would be taken seriously as a threat, ala DX era HHH), and Benjamin to round them out. I can invision Orton getting increasingly frustrated with Kennedy's antics and ego, leading to him being kicked out eventually, turning face, and dethroning Orton.

Kane Knight
03-04-2006, 02:27 PM
For some reason, I could see Masters working well with Kennedy.

And I'd like to see Shelton get pushed in a group like that just because the fucker is a natural athelete.

blake639raw
03-04-2006, 04:16 PM
Yeah, it all works out. You have Orton, the third generation wrestler. Masters they could say is the greatest physical specimen in the business, while Shelton is the greatest athlete in the business. Then throw in Kennedy for some added flair, and I believe they would get over big as heels. Have them feud with guys like HBK, Flair, Benoit, ect. The match possibilities would be endless.

Funny, I got this...

Modern History Sourcebook:
Rudyard Kipling, The White Man's Burden, 1899

This famous poem, written by Britain's imperial poet, was a response to the American take over of the Phillipines after the Spanish-American War.

Take up the White Man's burden--
Send forth the best ye breed--
Go bind your sons to exile
To serve your captives' need;
To wait in heavy harness,
On fluttered folk and wild--
Your new-caught, sullen peoples,
Half-devil and half-child.

Take up the White Man's burden--
In patience to abide,
To veil the threat of terror
And check the show of pride;
By open speech and simple,
An hundred times made plain
To seek another's profit,
And work another's gain.

Take up the White Man's burden--
The savage wars of peace--
Fill full the mouth of Famine
And bid the sickness cease;
And when your goal is nearest
The end for others sought,
Watch sloth and heathen Folly
Bring all your hopes to nought.

Take up the White Man's burden--
No tawdry rule of kings,
But toil of serf and sweeper--
The tale of common things.
The ports ye shall not enter,
The roads ye shall not tread,
Go mark them with your living,
And mark them with your dead.

Take up the White Man's burden--
And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better,
The hate of those ye guard--
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah, slowly!) toward the light:--
"Why brought he us from bondage,
Our loved Egyptian night?"

Take up the White Man's burden--
Ye dare not stoop to less--
Nor call too loud on Freedom
To cloke your weariness;
By all ye cry or whisper,
By all ye leave or do,
The silent, sullen peoples
Shall weigh your gods and you.

Take up the White Man's burden--
Have done with childish days--
The lightly proferred laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
Through all the thankless years
Cold, edged with dear-bought wisdom,
The judgment of your peers!

I like the idea of a new Nation, especially since Henry was in the original (along with Faarooq, Godfather, D'Lo and Rocky). Just don't call it the Nation.

Actually, weren't they going to do something like this back in 2003 with Theodore Long as manager? Rodney Mack, D'Lo (before he left for TNA) Henry and Jazz?

They sorta tried it, but not really.

Meanwhile, it wouldn't fly in the current atmosphere. Cena can't even be risqué and he's on top. Hassan was fired for being risqué. When people complain the WWE censors. Ironically, Vince is good with humping a corpse or slandering his dead employees, but the minute he gets press, he folds like a house of cards.

Hassan mostly got fired because he was on SmackDown! I think they could get away with more if he was on Raw. The Rock and Stone Cold were risque a few years ago when they were on Raw. I also think that Cena can't be risque because being on SD! he had to hold back a little and his fans seem to like the "new" Cena better. The WWE is afraid of losing his fan-base. They need another top face to be able to let him go a little.

Also, Vince didn't fold like a deck of cards with the Billy & Chuck thing, and I think that got the most press (both negative and positive) for WWE in the last 10 years at least.
