I guess ESPN is confirming it on tv right now. Says he got it from Bond's balco guy/trainer.

Terrible

There better be a harsh punishment coming his way.

that'll be interesting. Giambi admitted to it on the stand, what will Bonds do?

Sheff already said the stuff he used was a steroid and he didn't know it at the time, but Bonds had recomended the healing cream.

When I watched Sportscenter this morning, some guy said that there is very likely to be no suspension out of this at all because it happened a year ago and stuff like that.

yeah, there wont be any baseball action, since baseball had never actually banned steroids till recent testing and even still the first offense or two is a slap on the wrist.

There wont be any gov't action because Giami's testimony is in exchange for amunity.

Heard some of the details, he put a needle in his butt for roid, put hgh by needle into his stoumach, put another roid via syrange w/o needle under his tongue plus had a roid cream to rub on.

There are 20 or 24 other players on the list, not sure how many are testifying for the gov't.

I heard he could get shit for perjury, for lying to a grand jury.

Giambi? Did he testify before to the grand jury? if so, I doubt he'll get anything, I'd bet he made a deal for amunity on previous testimony and roid use for his new testimony, but anything is possible, if the gov't thought they had a good enough case they might not offer him much because they have a case w/ or w/o him.

You know Im pretty sure this damages the integrity of the game and Im also pretty sure that the last guy to do that got a lifetime ban

So did he admit to this like a year ago, but the transcript was only discovered recently?

This is the first I heard about it. If Giambi's gonna get punished for this then Bonds and the other 20-25 players on the list should too.

I also heard on Sportscenter that Jeremy Giambi admitted to using steroid's as well. 6 o clock sportscenter will turn this shit upside down

Yeah, Jeremy said he did it in the offseason before he signed w/ the Red Sox and it caused the breakdown of his body...

I just thought he was a .231 hitter :)

John La Rock, are you sure? I thought he had really good power numbers in 2003?

What I get a laugh at is the NY media is stringing up Giambi, but not touching Sheffield, they both did the same thing, the difference is, Sheff produced last year and Giambi didn't.

John La Rock, are you sure? I thought he had really good power numbers in 2003?

His Power numbers were there in 2003 (41 HR, 107 RBI's) but his batting average decreased from 314 in 2002 to 250 in 2003. Also in the 80 games he played this year he hit 208.

I remember when he was in Oakland his average was getting better and better every year where he finished at like 342 in his final year with the A's.

Loose Cannon

UHHHHHHHH, I argued that before ^^ His batting average went down to .250 AFTER HE HIT .314 FOR NY HIS FIRST YEAR WITH THEM. He sucks for one full year and everybody keeps thinking he's sucked before that. Last year doesn't count because he was having Roid Withdrawls.

Plus he's playing in NY and with guys like him who were playing for a small market team like the A's, then come to NY, there #'s always drop off.

That's true ^^^. Look how much A-Rod's numbers decreased this year
