Mega Hulk Hogan 6-Disk DVD Set In The Works
Submitted by Daniel Pena on Sunday, January 2, 2005 at 11:56 PM EST

In the big book for upcoming video/DVD releases from Trans World
Entertainment, which is the parent corporation for video and music retailers
such as FYE and Coconuts Music & Movies, there is another Hulk Hogan DVD set
in the works. It's titled HULKAMANIA and it's a 6-Disc Set that will cost
$44.95 and be released this spring.

This DVD set is more than likely going to be a re-release of the six
Hulkamania Coliseum Home Videos that were released in the '80s and 90s. It
should be interesting to see if any editing will occur what with the many
"WWF" references and "Hulk Hogan" references that are bound to occur in
those old videos. Due to the Marvel lawsuit, Hulk Hogan has been been
referred to as "Hollywood Hogan" when his name is mentioned on either
television or in print. Perhaps it has been resolved and Hogan can be known
as Hulk Hogan in WWE again. We shall see.

If this 6-disk DVD set are indeed re-releases of the Coliseum Video
Hulkamania tapes, than these are the matches and segments you can expect to
see.

That's a shit load of Hogan matches. I think they'll put newer stuff on it too because he was already going by Hollywood Hogan in WWE in his last run and any Hogan boxset has got to his the Mania 18 match in it.

Wow...that looks about as tempting as a left over TV dinner...

I bought Hulk Still Rules and I am still waiting for someone to refund my money...the ONLY good thing about the ENTIRE DVD was the match with Flair from BatB and to head Mean Gene say he hopes he continues to do this for another two decades...oh god I laughed my ass off that night.

I will want to pick this up really bad since its Hogan but if they edit all the Hulk Hogans out and have Hollywood Hogan put in then im not gonna get it. Stupid Vince needs to realize that when we purchase something we want it the way it was before. No editing of the old music or taking certain scenes out or changing names. We want the original damn package.

I loved Hulk Still Rules, and I'm sure I'll love this. Did those tapes have full matches, or just partial matches?

I hope they keep doing huge compilations like this, including new ones. Imagine a 6 disc set of the Attitude Era or ECW.

I'm still waiting for the fucking US to get something like UK's Tagged Classics. They should sell each of the big 5 PPVs in sets. They would have my money, I know that.

Why don't they make a huge set of these for a wrestler who is actually good? I mean, this is primarily a collection of shitty Colliseum Video matches.

Give me a Bret Hart 6 disc set with Colliseum Video gems like the Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart laddar match.

As opposed to 10 hours of flair shouting "woo and falling on his face for no reason, or getting tossed off the top rope in every single match". You could make the same argument for any wrestlers dvd.

Abe Lincoln? Isn't that $5? (I'm English so I don't know)

If it is, Dave, you're getting ripped off. j/k. My mate has it and it's pretty good.

Those DVDs would be a lot more solid if Hulk Hogan weren't wrestling in them.

Dave, you want Still Rules...send me your address...don't even bother with sending old honest Abe my way as I feel all I am doing is sending disease through the mail.

This is kind of unrelated. But I never picked up the Stone Cold Truth DVD. I watched the documentary on TV. But is the DVD like the Benoit and Flair DVDs, with his best matches and what not? Or is it just random ones?

Basically do you think they'd put out another/better Austin DVD.

I would have preferred a 6-disc ECW, WCW or WWE special. Or just something with the championships or something. No offense to Hogan, he's had a great career, but after Hulk Still Rules, I can't see much more this DVD can offer me more than more matches.

if he has a dvd coming out that means he will go back to the wwe for another go around. get ready for hogan at wrestlemania

I don't see any way that they would be selling that for $45. Also, I'm pretty sure that list is wrong, since I have an old Colliseum Video Hogan tape (don't remember which one), on which I distinctly remember the first match being Hogan vs. Zeus on an edition of Superstars.

Either way, I'll probably buy it if the price is right, not because of Hogan really, but just for the nostalga of seeing all the wrestlers who he faces on the tapes.
