- TNA star Hector Garza (aka Hector Solano Segura) was arrested in Houston, Texas on Monday on charges of possession of a controlled substance. According to Mexican newspaper El Norte, the controlled substance were anabolic steroids Primobolan and Deca-Durabolin, which is used to regenerate injuries and to help fortify muscle tissue.
Gazra was detained by Immigration agents at the IAH Houston Airport on his way to the TNA Impact! tapings on Tuesday night in Orlando, FL. Garza was then placed under arrest and appeared in court yesterday in Houston. He is being held in a Harris County, Texas jail at this time. Garza's brother told El Norte that the steroids were prescribed by a local doctor in Mexico (who overnighted the proof to the Mexican Consulate in Houston), so it can be turned into court in Garza's defense. His brother also stated that Garza was being counseled by a personal attorney, while TNA would be sending one of their own as well.
Garza's bail was set at $1,000, but was told not to pay it in fear of being deported which would ruin his career in the United States. Garza, who recently returned to TNA, was set to receive a big push by new booker Dusty Rhodes in the coming months. Garza's problems caused rewrites for the Impact! tapings on Tuesday night and workers were informed he had travel issues.
