I saw this a while ago now, but I was reminded tonight about how fucking fantastic it is.

It's a Korean movie, about a normal guy, a bit of a loser, who gets abducted and locked up in a room, without explanation, for 15 years. During the time, he sees on a television a news report about the murder of his wife, in which he is then implicated as number one suspect. His daughter is taken into care, and adopted by foreign parents.

After the 15 years, he is released without explanation, again, and given 5 days to discover why he was imprisoned.

It's a beautifully shot and unsettling film, with some brilliant scenes of ultra-violence.

Looks to be a great movie, and I hope to see it this weekend.

Don't call me a faggot, you clover-licking leprechaun.

And I know I haven't seen it...thus my comment of "I hope to see it this weekend."

Yes. Particularly this bit where he beats the fuck out of about 80 people in a corridor with a hammer.

Great movie. Great cinematography especially. Love the fight scene.

Americans are remaking it. They're gonna mess it up.

Yeah, it's a great movie, but it was made already over a year ago, how come you get it in theaters just now? Though I guess it's understandable, by the time Hero was playing in your cinemas it had already been put into DVD and VHS in here and they had actually shown it in the TV too.

It only came out here on DVD last month, I think.

Also, Hero is shit. I turned it off after 20 minutes or something. Awful.

Yeah it was fucking laughable. Really shitty. All the rain drops and all that shit couldn't redeem the fact that it was a bunch of faggots flying around with bendy swords.
