Just watching some japanese wrestling on TWC, and they showed a promo for Curry Man. Now, although I haven't seen him wrestle, the moves they showed caught my interest. Then it struck me what a really odd gimmick this was. Now, no doubt if he came to the WWE he would be watered down as he does some pretty high flying moves, but do you think the gimmick could get over?

I think Curry Man is Christopher Daniels.

You couldn't confuse that moonsault with anyone else. Without a doubt it's Daniel's under that mask.

But anyone...on to the question at hand...due to the reaction seen every time he enters the ring, why yes. I do think he could get over in the US. :) :y:

Christopher Daniels = Best in ring wrestler in the world today.

Can anyone explain what his gimmick is with this Curry Man character? Curry Man just sounds too funny for a gimmick.

I'm a curry beef brisket man myself.

From what I've heard, Daniels was asked to compete in a masked tournament, and Jinzei Shinzaki gave him the character "Curry Man", which is the character for an anime in Japan called Curry Man Cook. Not out of the normal, considering several wrestlers from Japan have gimmicks which are based on 'comic book characters', Lyger and Tiger Mask being a couple notable examples.

Does that help at all, or do you have any other questions?

Well I don't think the American fans would fully undertand the gimmick. I remember Daniels himself saying he didn't fully understand the gimmick at first.
