Without the Eddie/Rey feud it'd be almost unwatchable. The last hour of the show was unbearable. We were treated to a women with cookie dough on the side of her face, Regal and Scotty jobbing to nachos and JBL and Taker fumbling through a main event. Orton's appearance just about brought me out of my coma.

Not surprising when the feud that’s drawing the highest ratings is placed as a midcard attraction and your best ‘wrestlers’ are jobbing to the likes of Orlando Jordan. Meanwhile the main event scene leaves a lot to be desired.

It's just terrible - Like a poor neglected kitten that has escaped the bag with bricks tied to it and swam to the banks.

i actually thought taker and jbl was a pretty good match for a change

die.

Naw. ;)

But that match sucked. IT's too bad, because you have the most over face in the biz, and he can't keep it up.

I have not watched an entire Smackdown in almost two years. Why? Because it's been that unbearable for at least that long.

Having seen it for myself, i found myself always switching over. The only reason Taker/JBL wasn't good was because i saw the spoilers before and we all know the reasons for the match, so i didn't get into it even though it was a pretty good match. But overall the show really sucked.

JBL finally loses the title, but still main events every Smackdown PPV.

At least Orton showed up.

What can save Smackdown?

A heel 2000_style Benoit. :y:

I totally agree Chavo. I was saying the same thing while I was watching it. Eddie is the saving grace of SD right now. I thought the purpose of the draft was to push new guys on each show. Well, Benoit and Christian don't seem to be doing anything of note, while Batista is treated as an afterthought. RAW is lots better imo right now. Oh yeah, and losing Hassan didn't help much either.

I found Smackdown a lot more entertaining than RAW this week. I dunno, on RAW it just seems to be Cena/Jericho, Michaels/Hogan, and that's about it. No other match or segment on RAW really held much of a purpose.

No other match or segment on RAW really held much of a purpose. Maybe not, but at least that's 2 purposeful things. SD didn't even have that. I'm loving Jericho in his new role, and I think he's bringing out good things in Cena. The Angle/Eugene bit was really entertaining, even if Angle will probably get his medals back in the next couple weeks. Makes for good tv imo.

I personally prefered the Eddie/Rey angle, Mexicools continuing to interfere in people's matches which is histerical, the great tag team match to kick off the show which was pretty long asswell, and a #1 contender's match. Ok, the Jillian thing was pretty stupid, but there were more meaningful things on Smackdown anyway.

I guess it's just a matter of opinion. I like the Mexicools, I just think the writing team needs to twerk them a little bit. Sometimes they just come off as really weird, and not in a good or "cool" way. The tag team match to me just seemed like filler, because the writers didn't have anything better for them to do. No mention hardly at all of Batista, who is supposed to be the top face. MNM were good in their short bit backstage though, before that stupid ass Jillian crap. They need to give MNM more mic time though.

Someone made a thread about that and how it lacks in the WWE. It is a good thing they are keeping him there and not just burying him.

SD! just needs better writing and less cheesy shit.

They just need to get rid of the cheesy shit (in the main event scene) and work on the writing A LOT, IMO.
