No linky dink. Sorry.

However I know it to be fact.

Do you think it's an appropriate measure or over reaction?

I guess I can kinda understand, but I mean it's over reacting a bit

I wonder if Down's "New Orleans is a Dying Whore" will hold the same fate..

They should have known better to create a song that in about a decade would have been offensive.

Have they banned "Imagine" yet? They banned it after 9-11, even though there was no tie between the towers and the song.

Shit, now every Drowning Pool song will be banned.

Just when I was starting to hear bodies on the radio again.

'Imagine' was banned when it was released, the Vietnam War, tried to after 9/11. Crazy stuff. I wonder of the censors ever bother to understand the artist's intentions of the song in question. Or do they just hear (for eg.) the words such as "New Orleans is sinking" and push their morals.

If you imagine there's no Heaven, the terrorists will have won.

It's not like the song is at all offensive about New Orleans sinking, it's just singing about an occurrence that was bound to happen, and it is badass.

It's actually perfect for a time like this, because it's not really making light of the situation.

Think they'll ban House of Rising Sun next.

America doesn't want us to think for ourselves

Neocons don't want us to think for ourselves. Clear Channel, the people who created and enforce this ban, are a conservative group who have tried to promote their point of view on the air, and ban the other side.

More to the point, Christian groups have taken issue with this for years. As Hero said, they already tried to ban it a couple of times, for various reasons. They'll ALWAYS try and find an excuse.

I tried to find my CD with it on there...

...But no.

Banning music generally IS ridicululous.

It's obvious you are against the Clear Channel trying to ban music, but are you going to do anything about it? No, and that's the problem. America is lazy. If we made cocaine legal, we would be more active, and we would be more willing to speak out for what's right. It can't possibly go wrong.

So...When did you stop being funny?

Anyhoo, I've done quite a bit, TYVM.

Alright!

Bourbon blues on the street, loose and complete
Under skies all smoky blue green
I can't forsake a dixie dead shake
So we danced the sidewalk clean
My memory is muddy
What's this river that I'm in?
New Orleans is sinking man
And I don't wanna swim

Colonel Tom, what's wrong? what's going on?
You can't tie yourself up for a deal
He said, Hey north you're south shut your big mouth,
You gotta do what you feel is real
Ain't got no picture postcards, ain't got no souvenirs
My baby, she don't know me when I'm thinking bout those years

Pale as a light bulb hanging on a wire
Sucking up to someone just to stoke the fire
Picking out the highlights of the scenery
Saw a little cloud that looked a little like me

I had my hands in the river
My feet back up on the banks
Looked up to the lord above
And said, hey man thanks
Sometimes I fell so good, I gotta scream
She said Gordie baby I know exactly what you mean
She said, she said, I swear to god she said

My memory is muddy
What's this river that I'm in?
New Orleans is sinking man and I don't wanna swim

Swim!

Hardly offensive, but whatever, here's the lyrics for anyone interested.
