I'm surprised they didn't release them at the same time worldwide.

Also, now Japan knows how it feels to get shit after everyone else. But I'm not sure if there is much demand for X-Box in Japan, cause last I heard X-Box was the less popular of the three consoles.

It was by far the less popular. Some figure read that only for every 10,000 PS2s sold in Japan, Microsoft only sales about 750.
