New job means more disposable income from next month. Should I splash out on a slimline PS2 and a pile of games or wait until the PS3 and occupy my time with DVDs until then? When is the PS3 due anyhow?

I think the PS3 is going to be out next xmas.
If you have a perfectly fine ps2 don't bother with a slimline.
If you dont have a PS2 or if your ps2 is broken then yeah maybe get a cheap one.

PS3 is due Spring 2007. I'd personally get an Xbox 360 if you're sitting on some cash and want to spend it

Actually it's due in 2006. Most likely Spring but if it gets pushed back to Summer I would be surprised. Wait for it if you can.

I think if your working and have a bit of money saved you should treat yourself man and get the Xbox 360.

My decisions easy though, we wont get the PS3 until next summer in the UK - $hit maybe even next xmas! Yes i know sony loves us! :lol:

Im getting the Xbox 360 in December. Then i get to play that for a good 4-6 months before i even have to think about the PS3.. so in a way it works out well. I just wish it was the other way round and Smackdown was one of the first games for it.. ah well.

If you need to be convinced about the 360. Check out ign and watch the videos on there.. awesome.

Remember im no XBOX/PS fanboy. I always get both so trust me................
