Just thought I'd get a little conversation going about old shows you loved as a kid or teen or whatever.Bring back memories etc.:D

I have too many to say in one post but I loved

Count Duckula (http://www.80scartoons.co.uk/duckula.mp3)
http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/4149/count9fj.jpg (http://www.tv-ark.org.uk/itvlondon/thames/progs/duckula1988.ram)
I was only 7 months old when it began so I guess I watched it since I was able to watch tv.Maybe 1 or 2 years old. I dunno. Anyway I loved that show, I remember watching it all the time. It was about a vampire duck that was a vegaterian with a fear of blood, voiced by David Jason. The show had a line of toys, books, comics, videogame, pyjamas etc. lol it made a change for the 1000's of cartoons from America that where all Scooby Doo clones (Scooby Doo,Jabberjaw, Josie and the Pussycat,Captain Caveman etc)

Knightmare (http://www.joewaller.com/stuff/music/knightmare.wav)
http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/6531/knight16il.jpghttp://img296.imageshack.us/img296/1317/treguard5tn.jpg (http://www.tv-timewarp.co.uk/video_intros/Knightmare_56K.wmv)
Yeah Knightmare ruled. It was basically a gameshow for kids/teenagers that would play in groups of four.Three of them stayed in the "Dungeon" with Treguard the Dungeon Master and Pikle the Pixie (or "Pikle the pain in the ass" to me.He bugged me!) and the other kid would wear this big helmet that covered there face so they couldn't see where they where going. The helmet was important because the Dungeon was actually computer generated using blue screens. The only things that where real where the people they met (like jesters, villagers, maids, bad guys) , the items they collected and the main dungeon room where the other kids sat and watched and gave there friend directions. You could even die if you didn't collect food every once in a while. Think of the videogame, Zelda but with the main character being blinded by a helmet and being guided around the dungeon. The show even had puzzles, riddles and side quests to complete (on top of the main quest which could be saving a princess or retreiving some sword or chalice) and bad guys to defeat and everything. It was origonal and very clever, espeacially for a kids show.It had the usual books and a videogame or two. America got ther own version but it completely nose dived.Wish they'd make another series :( because in my opinion no gameshow for kids or adults comes close to Knightmare.

Thats just two of mine but anyone got any old shows they loved?

Maybe it was the 80's style theme tune. Or the fact it was a lime green duck in a cape with a londen accent? lol

But yah I loved the turtles to.Couldn't stop watching as a child.Infact I firmly believe the new stuff sucks compared to the old one. I watch an episode of the new one and it is just not the same.I was staring at the screen saying "What have you done?:("

lol did you know the UK TMNT was called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Cos Ninja was too violent  I loved the show though. Had the figures, the board games, the videogames and even the giant Technodrome.I still have the bed quilts and still remember the words to the song:$

Yeah I have all that too. I still have alot of things from when I was a kid.

But the new Turtles look like crap. They look evil and I'm pretty sure Shredder doesn't have his metal mask.

But watching that clip brought back good memories.

Oh and Shredder has got to be one of the best villains EVER.:y:

Why does everyone hate Scrappy?

I never really knew why everyone found him to be annoying.:-\

Because he's a hyperactive little shit who never did anything but stutter "Puppy Power!" and get in his cooler uncle's goddamned way.

Cool King

Well maybe it was because I was young at the time but I thought Scrappy was really cool.

He was brave, he had a cool catchprase, and he was tiny.

Scooby and Shaggy just ran into a closet shouting "ZOINKS" and "FURFREFRAFREEFROFRA!" with each other or ran into a kitchen to eat.

But maybe it was just because I was young at the time that I thought Scrappy was cool.:-\

And  at this site I found.

Shaggy and Scooby owned, because regardless of how stoned they were (all the time), they always managed to (unwittingly) help in catching the bad guy. That's some proactive time. All Scrappy did was get in the way and get caught and make Shaggy and Scooby have to go and rescue him instead of sitting down to those giant sandwiches they made in the kitchen of whatever haunted house they were in.

Zoinks > P-p-p-puppy Power.

Scooby had a sister too.

She was called Rooby Doo. She was also Scrappy mother, so blame her for the birth of Scrappy.

There are pics of Rooby Doo on Google but the links don't work, so you can only see little pics of her.

I think the SNES Ninja Turtles game Turtles in Time is the best liscensed character game ever made. Useta stay up until 3-4 in the morning (when I didn't have school) and play it when I was like 12. It's one game that I never gotten tired, I can still sit down with it now & have tons of fun (even more if I can find somebody for multiplayer)

Two words- Fraggle Rock

The first season is out on DVD, and someone hooked me up (early holiday thingie). Anyways, my twin brother and I played shotglass checkers (this is also why I can't drink jose anymore)... Kicked his ass twice, and cleared the board. So there I was, piss drunk, watching Fraggle Rock....

The show is also fun, sober.

I was wondering if anybody could help me remember the name of this cartoon show...

It was an action cartoon that was futuristic (I think it was post-apocolypse)and had the heroes driving motorcycles that only one big wheel. The villians drove what I believe were called "Sledge Tanks" because they had mechanical arms coming off the side that had maces and sledge hammers attached. The villians would set up domes over parts of cities and the civilians inside would turn into zombies or something along those lines. Each character, both heroes and villians, had a unique back pack attached to them that would have different things, i.e. one was a grenade launcher, one had guns that would come up for over the shoulders, etc. One other thing, the villians had orange blotches all over their skin. Sorry for the vague memories but does anybody else remember this show and do they know what it was called?
