"Mechanic asks The Cat who he would have liked to work with, when WCW was at his peak. The Cat replies that he would have liked to work with Hulk Hogan. He then releases a bombshell, stating that Hogan advocated to Eric Bischoff and the creative team for The Cat to defeat him for the world title. The Cat goes on to say that Hogan felt that The Cat had enough heat on him, that there was a program to be had in Hogan losing the title to him and then chasing him to get it back. The Cat also states that Mean Gene Okerlund was a fan of his character, noting that he seemed to be having a good time, and that characters like that have greater creative longevity."

I'll be damned. Him wanting new talent to get over? Ultimately for him, but even still..I wouldn't have minded seeing The Cat with the title. Then again, I'm a mark for Ernest!

If Ernest Miller was WCW champ, the company would have gone under instantly. That is worse than David Arquette or Tank Abbott as champ by a long way.

No way. If you remember correctly, he DID have a lot of heat. I think he would've been very entertaining.

No he didn't. He had ZERO heat. Nobody gave a fuck about him wrestling. The dancing was slightly amusing and his promos were funny because you couldn't understand a word he said. How the hell could he have sold PPV's as a main eventer? I can't even bring myself to even imagine a promo.

Let's see, Hogan didn't think Steve Austin would make it past the midcard, but he was willing to job to Ernest Miller. Either:

A) Hogan is an idiot
B) This is a load of crap
C) All of the above

Tell you what, the best thing ever about the The Cat was the way Tazz just took the piss right out of him. He had me seriously rolled up in tears at some of the stuff he'd say.
