I was looking through my stack of games over the holiday and i've come to the conclusion that without me knowing, my fav is without a doubt. Capcom

I've got/previously owned all of the big games they've brought out and Devil My Cry 3 is probably one of my favourite platforms ever!

I just bought a used copy of Onimusha 3 and it's awesome

Of course there's the Resident Evil series

Oh and a little game called Streetfighter

So Capcom has:

Devil May Cry series
Onimusha series
RE series
Streetfighter series

Plus i'm sure there's others that i'm missing out.

Can you think of a list stronger than that!

Yeah Capcom but Konami probably comes in a close second.

Rockstar and Id are good as well. They don't have as many games as Capcom, but they do have some of the best games in history between them (Doom, Quake, GTA 3, etc).

Nintendo (for the reasons Funky mentioned [fuck you KK]) & Sony (Shadow of the Colossus and Ico; nuff said.)

When you have to bring up Mario Tennis/Golf/Whatever and such...

...You've pretty much admitted defeat.

While Nintendo has some good series, it's had some shit series as well.

Turbine Entertainment and Blizzard. Not a huge fan of some stuff Blizzard does, but overall they have fucking great games.

Blizzard.

The Warcraft series
The Diablo series
Starcraft
World of Warcraft

Nothing else comes even remotely close to the amount of pure hours of entertainment these particular games gave me.

Hell, even Rock N Roll Racing and The Lost Vikings were solid SNES games back in the day.

WTF. How can you list Capcom and fail to mention Mega Man? Failure.

Anyway, for me, in no real order:

Capcom (Megaman, Street Fighter)
Nintendo (Mario, Metroid, Zelda)
Maxis (Sim City, all the "Sim" spin-offs)
Blizzard (Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo)
Rare (Donkey Kong, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark)
Square (Final Fantasy)

Keeping in mind I'm not exactly sure what qualifies as a developer, but those names pretty much go hand-in-hand with the games so w/e, good enough for me

How is the new Perfect Dark? Rare hasn't done anything worthwile since they left Nintendo's camp.

Never played the new one. And yeah I was referring to Rare's earlier stuff. Goldeneye/PD are great, and the DK franchise is golden. Win-win.

Didn't care for the new Perfect Dark. Too many annoying things about it. Rare was awesome in the nintendo days.

No shit. One of the greatest franchises ever.

Regardless, I still have to go with Nintendo. While other companies may come out with more great games, none of them can even touch the genius of the Zelda, Metroid, or Mario series.

And Fuck you Kane Knight. You ever play Mario sports games with a bunch of friends? Some of the best multiplayer experiences ever right there.

Square-Enix: Final Fantasy franchise (even Final Fantasy XI), Brave Fencer Musashi, Kingdom Hearts
Capcom: MegaMan, Resident Evil, their early Disney games (yeah, those older ones WERE quite good)
Konami: Metal Gear franchise (even before MGS), Castlevania, the early Ninja Turtle games (not the crap they are making now)
Ubi-Soft: Splinter Cell, Beyond Good & Evil (are we EVER gonna get a sequal of BG&E?)
THQ: The WWE Games (surprised no one mentioned these guys yet)
Majesco: Bloodrayne
MAXIS: The Sims, Simcity

After buying a DS, I go with Nintendo. There are way too many games I love for it.

Acclaim has gone bankrupt.
Which would explain why Tenchu 4 was made by Sega
