Maybe he'll get a real push this time. How long does it last? I give it until summer-ish.

I often wonder what it would have been like had he won the title at Unforgiven vs Angle and Austin. man he was maaad over.

As much as i like RVD. I think he should go to TNA. He's a big draw that will increase ratings. Imagine Rob Van Dam vs AJ Styles?

If he stays in the WWE he'll just get burried...again

I shudder at the spot fest that match would be.

RVD is best when put up against a legit worker ala Lynn, etc.

Me too.

See, advertising a return = quick ratings.

Mark out moments + good product = long term ratings.

I mean, back at the WWE's peak, I really don't remember them advertising returns. When a big name came back, it was a shock and reaffirmed that "anything can happen" feeling.

Sure, you'll get a boost in ratings or buy rates for that event that's being advertised, simply from curiosity and anticipation. But then what?

I've always felt it was much better to have most of these comebacks happen out of the blue. That way, the adrenaline level is much higher due to the surprise factor. Pack that together with a solid show and solid shows afterwards and you get increased ratings that stay high because viewers are hooked.

Advertising a return is just the cheap and lazy way out.

Altho I'd feel less against them if the WWE managed to put a good product together consistently. That way, if they advertise a comeback and lure fans back to a show, then put on a good one, fans might stay and watch more, and if those shows are good, they'll continue watching.

Exactly (although they could have been worse). And Lynn is a great worker.

So imagine is both guys were spot monkeys... Non stop movement for twenty minutes.

God RVD in TNA would be amazing. There are so many matches I could list.
Iy will never happen though. Didn't RVD give WWE permission to trademark his wrestling name? If he did that I assumer he isn't planning on going anywhere.

I hope that they don't toss RVD right back into a dead end mid-card feud.......if Edge can be a main eventer, then RVD better fucking be one.

Edge vs RVD, Could bury edge though... i dont think he could keep up havent seen much energy out of Edge (if that would be the WM Main event)
