Yeah, but I'm too lazy and cheap to. :o

I know I have at least a few of those movies on tape already, but I just haven't watched them.

I somewhat recently watched The Godfather based purely on how it's supposed to be one of the best movies ever. It is a good movie but not my type of movie at all. Not a big gangster movie fan.

So I've never seen Godfather II and III, Goodfellas, Casino, Scarface, etc

I rented A Clockwork Orange the same night I rented The Godfather since so many people had it high up on their favorite movie lists from here and I loved it. Awesome movie.

Some movies I've wanted to watch that I haven't gotten around to.

-Mulholland Drive
-Full Metal Jacket
-Eternal Sunshine
-Memento
-Blade Runner
-American History X

Several others.

Oh haven't seen Blade Runner. I guess that counts even though I have no real interest at all in it and could have watched it a bunch of times but have not because I Hate Sci-Fi Movies.

City Of God
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
North By Northwest
Once Upon A Time In The West
Rear Window
Schindler's List
The Seven Samurai
Sunset Blvd.
12 Angry Men
Vertigo

There's a bunch more, but I held myself to ten. I've seen most of the "cliche" classic movies: Citizen Kane, Casablanca, the Godfather (not III, but I don't think that counts), Lawrence of Arabia, etc.

I'm surprised when people say they haven't seen Shawshank Redemption. IMO, it's probably the best movie ever and it's on quite alot on TBS or TNT or whatever.

Any list I could make would be woefully incomplete.

Mine too. I just went down IMDb's Top 250 list and listed the first ten I hadn't seen.

I could have continued with...

American History X
Apocalypse Now (I've seen most of it, but never start-to-finish)
Chinatown
Das Boot
Downfall
Hotel Rwanda
Leon
Paths Of Glory
Se7en
The Third Man

...but I didn't...

Alien
All About Eve
The Bridge On The River Kwai
Double Indemnity
M
Modern Times
Raging Bull
Requiem For A Dream
Saving Private Ryan
The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre (I saw it dubbed in spanish, but never in english)

...'cause that would just be silly.

The Cerebral Assassin
02-22-2006, 08:59 PM
Solaris (1972)

Skippord
02-22-2006, 10:30 PM
The Sound of Music
Marry Poppins
ET
Lady and the Tramp
Beauty and the Beast
and some other shit

Bad Company
02-22-2006, 10:34 PM
Easy Rider
Apocylypse now
Taxi Driver

yadda yadda

RoXer
02-22-2006, 11:04 PM

This makes such a strange read cos you read someones list and find yourself going "how can you not have seen that" but then you realise thats what everyone else must think of your list. Anyways here's mine...

It's quite shameful considering I was a film student for 5 years...

Apocalypse Now
Blade Runner
Scarface
Taxi Driver

they're the ones I have on DVD. There are many others that I haven't seen/watched all the way through.

Clockwork Orange
Wicker Man
Godfather

probably many, many more.
