Yeah even with spoilers I'm still making a thread.

Kinda excited about Orton and Super Crazy and of course I want to see Angle/Undertaker.

This is kinda like the NWO match only there is a lot less drama and this is a lot slower paced.

I never get tired of watching Taker and Angle wrestle each other.

I loved that match.

Good SD tonight.

Excellent storytelling in the main event, because by the end, they had made me forget that it was going to be UT/Henry at Mania, and I was actually wondering "How is Kurt going to get out of this?" That hasn't happened to me in a long time.

Orton/Crazy was a great match. I really hope that this means they have plans for Super Crazy beyond just being one of the Mexicools. Not that I'm dissing the 'Cools, I just like the prospect of SC as a legitimate Cruiserweight Title contender.

The Lashley/Finlay fight was well-done, as well. Bobby looked like he messed his knee up when Finlay jumped onto him on the floor, but he was up and walking on it right after. I wouldn't mind seeing these two in a gimmick match at Mania, although their slot could probably go to something a little more...dynamic. But I won't complain if we get a Lashley/Finlay street fight.

I love the Boogeyman, and the prospect of Booker/Boogey is exciting, but how many more weeks are we going to get: Booker (or Sharmell) does commentary, then suddenly, Boogeyman appears, does something with worms, they run away? Regardless, I'm interested to see what they can do.

I really hope that the Kristal/Jillian match next week degenerates into a JBL/Benoit brawl. I really don't want to see those two try to put on a real match (although Jillian isn't awful).

More like "club" or even "hammer," but yeah. It's an old Irish weapon. And Finlay's Irish, so naturally he carries a shillelagh with him wherever he goes. Probably a bottle of Guinness, too.

He was in a really nice video package.

Anyway, SD was definitely good. Angle vs Taker and Orton vs Super Crazy were awesome matches.

Hey, at the end, was anyone wondering if Henry would break the table he was standing on? I would have laughed my ass off if the table had just collapsed.

I'm really looking forward to SmackDown! next week. I just hope a few things happen.

1) Due to Gregory Helms not defending the belt on SmackDown! this week, he defends it against two opponents in a Triple Threat Match next week. Gregory Helms vs. Paul London vs. Brian Kendrick?

2) Paul Burchill is allowed to actually work with William Regal.

3) Randy Orton is taken out of the Handicap Tag Team Main Event at Saturday Night's Main Event, and is put in a singles match with Chavo Guerrero.

That would make more sense, but it doesn't look as cool when you break a pint glass over someone's head.

Me, too. But they kind of spoiled it from one camera angle, 'cause you could tell that the spanish table was re-enforced.

I disliked the finish to the ME match. Strangely, I actually liked the match. Taker's got enough in him to at least be carried in a good match, if nothing else. However, this is what that finish says to me:

Undertaker is the legitimate threat and should be going to Wrestlemania. This is annoying enough, because it's clear that Taker would have put Kurt away (Yes, I know it's scripte,d I'm talking about the match in terms of appearance).

Kurt Angle is undeserving, but will go because of a technicality. This is pretty bad, especially since Kurt's not a heel or a pansy, he's been a fighting champion since he came to Smackdown and is pretty much a babyface.

Hey, since Second chances are the in thing in wrestling right now, why don't we give Taker a shot at the ME? He'd be better suited to main event Mania, and it'd be more interesting than a midget try and trump God...Errr...Kurt.

Pretty decent SmackDown! despite numerous names not being there. Noticed no Rey, Benoit, and in the preview they said Helms would be defending again. Though I took Helms in the fantasy league and got 0 points now.

But Lashley/Finlay was well done. Boogeyman is still awesome. I figured Orton might go a little more metal for his heel character. Animal's heel turn was interesting to see. And the main event was still a good match. But do we really have to see Mark Henry in an upper-card match at Wrestlemania?

Did anybody else think that Animal was going to cut a promo backstage and talk about kicking Matt's leg out of his leg? Or was that just me?

Maybe they'll have The Undertaker face Mark Henry at Saturday Night's Main Event instead of WrestleMania? Then at Saturday Night's Main Event, some other heel can start a program with him. I would mark out if Johnny Jeter got a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, so Ken Doane decided to do something bigger. He attacks The Undertaker after his match with Mark Henry, and challenges Taker's WrestleMania streak at only 19 years of age.

Mr. Nerfect
03-04-2006, 07:34 PM
The Undertaker vs. Ken Doane at WrestleMania would be the best Taker match I can imagine at the moment. You can have it end when Doane counters the Tombstone into an RKO. This is a great way to introduce Doane to the move in the WWE (because he apparently does it really well), as they can also mention that Orton feuded with The Undertaker and faced him at WrestleMania 21, and this is sort of like an outsourced win for Randy Orton as well.

This can also set up interpromotional tension between Randy Orton and Ken Doane for a match between the two down the line. I mean, let's face it. As soon as Ken Doane starts showing his talent, and if he beat The Undertaker with that talent, the fans are going to start cheering him. Probably to the point where he will be the most over guy in the company. Women will love him, men will love him (if he is allowed to go), Randy Orton hates him. If Ken Doane wins the 2007 Royal Rumble, I would love to see Randy Orton vs. Ken Doane for the World Heavyweight Championship headline WrestleMania 23. It would be fun to point out the challenger to the belt isn't even as old as WrestleMania.

I get the feeling The Undertaker may be added to the World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania. And if he does get added to the match, I can honestly see him winning.

Boogeyman is getting lame. Is this what we're going to start fawning over? Every month he creeps out a new heel, disctracts them, and dominates them at the PPV in a shitty match?

Mr. Nerfect

What upsets me about The Boogeyman is that he has become so 2D. He eats worms! OMG! DISgUXing!1!!1! lOl! (sometimes I think this is how creative actually communicates)

If the WWE made an effort to explain to us why he's called "The Boogeyman" from fictional tales, and why he has an obession with worms, I might buy him as a little more real. I mean seriously, who thinks a guy calling himself "The Boogeyman", on its own, is a frightening act?

I think when BM debuted, Palmer Canon said he was going to debut on another UPN show playing "The Boogeyman". Excellent. We know about the name. You can then have it said he lives off worms because the incarnation of the Boogeyman he was going to play did that. Make him a method actor that has become so submersed in a deprived lifestyle, he is really starting to go insane.

Right now, I get the impression Boogeyman either goes home and lives a normal life, proud of the "deep facade" he has created OR he was punished from by his parents as a little kid, ran away because it was unfair, and ate worms and called himself "The Boogeyman" so people would be afraid of him.

Neither of those is appealing to me, and the second one definately not the target demographic. Boogeyman could be a smart character, but much like Muhammad Hassan, it has been replaced by a stereotyped character spawned from its appearance.

Palmer brought him over because the "Network's" show had fallen through. He was hired to Smackdown because UPN (Not really) was stuck with him.

At first, he was pretty funny. Now all the magic was gone and it's like, "okay, he's going to eat worms and squash people...YAWN."

I liked Smackdown also, not surprised to see a thread on it.Only bad things were Ortons new theme,(I actually liked his old one, the new one wont even grow on me I don't think) no Benoit and no Rey.But to be honest the quality of the show made me forget that Benoit/Rey wont even on it.I only just realised they werent on it while reading this thread.

Doesn't it seem strange they're leaving such big names out of some shows in the build up to WM?

So far the buildup to WM has been horribly lackluster, so I'm not sure if there should be any sort of "strange" feeling.
