With it fresh on our minds, who would everyone like to see/expect to see inducted into next year's Hall of Fame?

I'd like to see/expect to see:

Dusty Rhodes (inducted by Ric Flair)
Owen Hart (inducted by Jeff Jarrett, accepted by Bret Hart)
Mr. Perfect (inducted by Bobby Heenan, accepted by Larry Hennig)
Randy Savage (inducted by Brian Adams... coz they be chummy)
Rick Steamboat (inducted by Steve Austin)
Ted DiBiase (inducted by Jimmy Hart and Mike Rotundo)
Mr. Fuji (inducted by Don Muraco)
Bruno Sammartino (unlikely, but look at Bret and Verne this year!)

Great choices. Steamboat/Savage would be great since it would be in DET and they had their classic match there. I would like to see Jake the Snake Roberts in there and possibly Alice Cooper if they do the Celebrity Wing. Yoko would be great as well if they put Fuji in there. I wouldnt be surprised if another Diva got invited like Sunny, I also wouldnt be surprised if Arn Anderson or Hacksaw Jim Duggan was inducted.

I'm worried that in a few years time, undeserving people will start making it into the Hall of Fame... they ALREADY have a celebrity wing (Personally, if they insist on adding more to that in future, then Mr. T and Lawrence Taylor had much more impact than Alice Cooper did.)

Anderson, Jake and Duggan, I agree with. Yokozuna isn't a deserving member, IMO. But then, when WWE starts to run out of potential inductees, I fully expect the mid-card likes of Hercules and The Warlord will start getting inducted, which will kill the HoF's credibility dead.

I'd like to see Honky Tonk Man and Ultimate Warrior inducted too, but it's highly unlikely. Ravishing Rick Rude is more likely, though.

You can joke, but Bill Irwin did have a fairly successful career, and when the well runs dry, maybe he WILL end up in the Hall!

Bobby Heenan?

anyone?

anyone?

Heenan was inducted in 2004.

Heenan was inducted in 2004.

So then how is Mean Gene the first announcer to be inducted...fucking misleading assholes.

NeanderCarl

Heenan was a wrestler and a manager first. Okerlund has only ever been an announcer (save for one or two comedy matches).

I think that Flair would be the best one to induct Steamboat.

Savage would never get it same goes with Sammartino. Which is a shame because it reminds us of the fact that the wwe hall of fame is more off a list of vince's friend list rather than a list of the greatest wrestlers of all time.
And dont list Bret as an example I think the only reason Vince put Bret in is so he can make a shawn/vince/bret feud

Dave Youell

They'd never have a list that good. They tend to have one or two 'big' names to draw everyone in.

So i'd asume they'd be guys on the WWE books as it's easier. Rhodes is a shoe in IMO as he was meant to be doing this year, but they changed it after they could get Bret.

So the other guy is a toss up between Ted and Ricky IMO

Dusty Rhodes
Jake Roberts
Ricky Steamboat
Ted Dibiase
Mr Fuji
Howard Finkel
Steve Lambardi
Hillbilly Jim

Mr. Nerfect

They'll probably space the really big names apart a few years to keep the Hall of Fame going as long as they can. Next year, I see the following names being added to the HOF:

1. Owen Hart
2. The Legion of Doom
3. Another member of the Guerrero family (Gory?)
4. Arn Anderson
5. Ted DiBiase
6. Sunny
7. Howard Finkel

Mr. Nerfect

Dusty Rhodes will probably top it all off.

Jeff Jarrett at the WWE Hall of Fame? I don't think so.

Cornette

NeanderCarl
04-02-2006, 03:46 PM
I think the LOD, Cornette and Finkel would all be worthy additions. 'm not sure about Lombardi though. A jobber in the Hall of Fame is hardly fitting but then, if Johnny Rodz, James Dudley, Pete Rose and The Fridge are in there, then why not the loyal veteran "Brawler"?

I don't think Hillbilly Jim should go in. I can't really think of a case for inducting him.

It would be nice to see Jim Ross, Big Boss Man, Giant Haystacks, Lord Alfred Hayes and Jerry Lawler go in, although JR and King aren't likely to be inducted for a few years yet.

Another potential "Celebrity Wing" inductee would be Andy Kaufman, as well as Mr. T and L.T.

James Steele

Mr. T has to go into the WWE HoF Celebrity Wing to give it credibility.

I think Dustin should induct Dusty, so that Flair can induct Steamboat. Sherri should induct Savage, and if Owen gets in, Mick should induct him.

OK, assume that they only put one "dead before his time" guy in the hall each year. Who goes first, Owen, Kurt, or Davey Boy? (Hawk's not eligible, since he'll go in with Animal.)

My 2007 lineup:

Owen (gotta get him in while Vince and Bret can still get along)
Arn
Adorable Adrian
2 guys noone's heard from in 20-30 years, but needs the money.
Mr. Fuji
Areatha Franklin or Alice Cooper (hasn't Aretha done more Wrestlmanias than any other celeb?)

LK

They should do whatever it takes to induct the Warrior. Just for the speech that he would give.

Here are a few people who should go in next year...

Dusty Rhodes
Ricky Steamboat
Brian Pillman (my personal choice)
Miss Elizabeth
Stu Hart

I would say put in Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Ole Anderson, JJ Dillon, however I think that a few year in the future when they induct Ric Flair into the Hall of Fame they should induct all the orignal Horseman in the same year.

owen hart...just another ploy to get bret back to the WWE..then it will be Bulldog..and bret will have to accept..

They are giving spots in the hall of fame to non-wrestlers..what about guys like STU HART?

I think STU deserves a spot look at his list of students? (If i have to list then for you then you're a dickface)

How about Iron Mike Tyson in the Celebrity Wing? I mean, he DID join DX and make headlines all over America in 1998.

NeanderCarl
04-05-2006, 04:26 PM
Agreed. I don't particularly agree with the celebrity wing, I think it takes away from the acheivements of those who actually EARNED their place in the Hall of Fame.

But if they will insist on having it, then Tyson should be in there.

Anyway it isn't just the Celebrity Wing that are dubious inductees. Johnny Rodz and James Dudley, for starters, should not be in there. Rodz was only a moderately successful wrestler, and his list of trainees hardly compares to that of Stu Hart's. Dudley was a lame manager and a chauffeur to the McMahons. WTF?!

NeanderCarl

How about "The Doctor of Style" Slick, or the Powers of Pain for the HoF?

Just to hear the old PoP theme song would be great!

Rick Rude
Mr. Perfect
Bob Uecker

Those are three that I think will be inducted next year.

Taker's got about a year and a half left in his contract ,doubt he'll re-sign He hasn't gone too far with the Business.
Whenever he reaches the top some jackass Like Henry ,Orton takes the throne.

Id nominate Taker ,Maybe Road warrior Hawk Inducted by Animal.

Neither Henry Godwinn nor Bob Orton Jr. ever made it to World Champion.

Ha, you lose, sucka.

But you are right. Undertaker has every reason to be pissed off with the WWE. 16 years and he still hasn't achieved fuck all. What a loser. If he hasn't "made it" by now, he NEVER will. So he may as well give up.

The Road Warriors will go in as a tandem, if they ever do. Neither Hawk nor Animal acheived enough in solos to be considered Hall of Famers on their own.
