From Rajah.com:
There is still a lot of talk that the state of Kentucky will be fining WWE for their blood usage at their Backlash PPV. WWE knowingly violated the state’s rules against blood usage in professional wrestling events, as they were originally put in place due to the brutal matches that took place during IWA shows in the state. Whenever “blood” is used in OVW (which is based in Louisville, KY) they use a fake movie liquid, not the real thing, as is the case at WWE events.
There has also been talk that the state may actually suspend WWE’s promoting license in the state, preventing them to run shows. However, many argue that due to the amount of tax dollars that WWE shows bring in, that would be a case where the state would be cutting their own throat.
For those wondering, this isn’t the first time that this has happened. Vince McMahon was once booked for a match against his daughter Stephanie in the state of Maryland, which was against state rules. WWE officials knew it and asked who to make the check out too before the match even took place. The underlying concept here is that Vince is going to do whatever he wants, regardless the repercussions.
