WWE Hikes PPV Price,
By Daniel Pena

05/28/2006 -
Starting with ECW One Night Stand, all WWE pay-per-views will now cost $39.95 instead of the usual $35.00. Directv.com has ECW One Night Stand listed at $39.95. The onscreen guide for Comcast Cable also has ECW ONS listed at $39.95.

Well, I was going to order ECW One Night Stand but FUCK THAT. I'm not paying $40 dollars for a 2 hour and 40 minute show. This is getting pretty fucking ridiculous.

I'll just download it an hour later via bittorrent.

Is 5 dollars more that much of a difference?

I also love how they jump to conclusions. One PPV happens to cost more than it did last year and "all PPV prices will be jacked up OMGz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I don't pay for PPV's anyways, buy an illegal satellite system and save yourself lots of money.

It's probably only for One Night Stand. They figure they can make more money off it than their normal SmackDown! PPVs.

Although I did hear that they were raising the prices for good.

Yeah. That was my thought too. ONS is an ECW PPV, supposedly a one-night deal, etc. Even thought the promotion's coming back. With no other PPV listed as such, the assumption is it'll be 40 bucks from now on...Like WM bumped the price to 50 for each PPV?

Thats true that it could be a time deal just for the ECW ppv, but I heard that the prices for all the ppv's are going up to 40 dollars. It's not really the end of the world, being only 5 extra dollars, but at the same time, it seems like the prices are getting higher, as the ppv's get worse.

I heard that Marty Jannetty was dead, there were multiple Undeertakers (Not counting Ted's Taker), and that Kane was a transsexual (Someone asked me that yesterday. ;)).

Rumours are rumours for a reason, and whatever you heard, you have no reason to buy it yet.

I heard a rumor that wrestling might be staged.

I heard a rumor that rumors are gay.

Xero

Wouldn't that make that rumor gay? Which, in turn, would make it even more gay, possibly in an infinite gay loop?

Rumor has it that Doug Basham is already set to win the Royal Rumble.

Also, wasn't the last ONS more expensive?

Probably because of some people downloading events for free, like myself.

Errrr...

The GBP is roughly 1.9 dollars US.

You're looking at almost 30 bucks US, not 10.

Still cheaper. Though not as much. 35 bucks is still more than 30, and so is 40.

So 30 bucks is no longer less than 35?

 You're replying to a statement of math...It's not about whether the PPV is cheaper, just a qunatitative statement. :)

I'm arresting you on charges of:

i) having illegal satellite equipment, and
ii) being smug about it.
