The movie came out, despite the injunction he proposed. After that, they just stopped reporting the news. I don't know, but I'm betting he lost.

...Or he lost the license in a "Shark tank from Hell" match.

--EDIT-- This is what Wikipedia alleges.

"On June 8 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_8), 2005 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005) Shark Boy filed a lawsuit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawsuit) against Miramax Films (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miramax_Films). Having trademarked (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trademark) the name "Shark Boy" in 1999 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1999), Shark Boy claimed that Miramax's then-latest release "The Adventures of Shark Boy & Lava Girl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventures_of_Shark_Boy_%26_Lava_Girl)" infringed upon his trademark, and demanded any "money, profits and advantages wrongfully gained". In November 2005 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/November_2005) it emerged that Miramax had attempted to have the case dismissed, in addition to requesting that the court nullify Shark Boy's trademark on the basis that "Plaintiff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plaintiff) is a male whose services are rendered only when he is wearing a costume depicting 'shark-like' attributes." Shark Boy was scheduled to attend a court hearing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hearing_%28law%29) on January 5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_5), 2006 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006)."

Sorry it ain't more.

It would help if Wikipedia was more accurate because I know for a fact Shark Boy trademarked his name in 1997 not 1999.

According to US patent and Trademark office:

<table border="0"><tbody><tr><td align="left" valign="top">Word Mark</td> <td> SHARK BOY</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> Goods and Services</td> <td>IC 041. US 100 101 107. WILLIAM GRAHAM</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> Type of Mark</td> <td>SERVICE MARK</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> Register</td> <td>PRINCIPAL</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> Affidavit Text</td> <td>SECT 15. SECT 8 (6-YR).</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" valign="top"> Live/Dead Indicator</td> <td>LIVE</td></tr></tbody></table>
So Wikipedia's right from the legal stance in this case. He filed it, according to their records, in 1999.

I didnt know sharkboy went so big, the first (and last) I heard of him was in some wrestling magazine that had an up and comers section, you know, like "You may want to watch out for: ____" I saw a pic of sharkboy and thought "Ridiculous"

What was he in?

He's claimed the first use of it was in 1997, but that doesn't mean it was trademarked then.
