It's based on Serial Killer Ed Geen (sp?) Who would cut off parts of female skin and wear them as masks...Think about it as Extreme Crossdressing, since he supposely sewned an vagina to himself at one time..

Ed Gein was also the inspiration for Norman BAtes in Psycho and Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs.
