I'm looking forward to the Flair match most, just to see the Silly Squad lose the tag team belts.

Indeed I am. Good ol' Sky Sports came through in the end and showed the event, and free at that. Kane won the vote to face Umaga, by nearly 50%. Sandman got more votes than Benoit, and Benoit looked pretty pissed off.

Same old power match these two have had before thus far. I'll keep you informed.

NeanderCarl
11-05-2006, 09:10 PM
Have the WWE voters got no imagination? Why vote to see these two face each other AGAIN? Benoit or Sandman was a much more appealing match for Umaga.

NeanderCarl
11-05-2006, 09:11 PM
What's more, neither Kane nor Umaga have anything to gain from this match. If Umaga wins again, it's just burying Kane, but if Kane wins.... ah well, it's moot now.

Umaga wins with the Samoan Spike.

Backstage segment: Sharmell and Big Show. Sharmell trying to cut a deal with Show to work with King Booker. Show doesn't trust her, or Booker. Not interested in cutting a deal. Sharmell says Show will regret it.

Cryme Tyme heading out for the Four-way Tag Team Turmoil. And Lilian says it's one fall, so not elimination rules then, which sucks.

NeanderCarl
11-05-2006, 09:16 PM
The Highlanders coming out to no reaction, which is a shame as these guys were looking like stars a couple of months back, until WWE just buried them. When the novelty wears off, Cryme Tyme will go the same way. Nobody has less heat than the crappy pairing of Murdoch/Cade though.

NeanderCarl

Texas Tornado match, with 50% of the votes.

NeanderCarl

NeanderCarl
11-05-2006, 09:26 PM
Cryme Tyme steals Jerry Lawler's laptop, which leads us to DX backstage...

They are angry that Bischoff thinks they're not controversial. HBK reminds us that he's the guy who put Bret in the sharpshooter, and HHH is the guy who married "whatshername". HBK then superkicks about three backstage staffers and runs off in a fit of rage. HHH finds it all amusing.

Jeff Hardy heading out for the I-C title match now.

NeanderCarl
11-05-2006, 09:32 PM
They shake hands before the match. Bless.

This match could really go either way, but I gotta go with Hardy to take the win. WWE doesn't seem as high on Carlito now as they did a few months ago. Still, I guess his winning the vote cements his popularity amongst the fans, so maybe the Cool Carribbean WILL get the belt tonight.

NeanderCarl
11-05-2006, 09:35 PM
Even though these guys apparently only find out the results of the vote at the same time we do, surely they must have some idea before hand who will be facing who etc. I mean, it was fairly obvious that Carlito would be the more popular choice of those three potential opponents, plus WWE try to sway the votes anyway in the programming leading up to these interactive PPVs.

NeanderCarl

I don't know what a Bischoff face turn would really achieve though, apart from maybe the Vince vs Bischoff feud they should have run with 5 years ago.

There has been a lot of talk of an NWO vs DX feud, but I guess Bischoff and Hogan would have to form a brand new NWO because Hall and Nash would not be involved if it did come to fruition.

We're only an hour in, and there are only three matches left on the card when this match is over. Reckon we might get some bonus matches? Or maybe some huge angle? Because surely this won't go for more than half an hour at the absolute max, the tag title match (which will feature mid-fifties Ric Flair teaming up with a RETIRED wrestler) will surely be a short affair, and the women's match will be 15 minutes max too. So don't tell me they're going to stretch the Champion Of Champions match out for an HOUR???

I doubt they'd put the Flair match much longer than 10 minutes. Neither Flair nor his partner will have the stamina to go much longer than that, plus I think the titles are going to switch in that match, so it will probably just be a feelgood demolition job on the Spirit Squad.

What do you mean?
Golden history
By Louie Dee
November 3, 2006

At Cyber Sunday, history will be made as the champions of all three WWE brands step into the ring to see who the “Champion of Champions” really is. This is the first time three champions have gone head to head, but it will not be the first champion vs. champion match in sports-entertainment history.

Before the Monday Night Wars, and even before the Rock ‘n’ Wrestling era of the mid-1980s, WWE and the NWA were fighting for supremacy. The best way to claim it was to find out whose champion was the best, so there were a few instances where the respective champions squared off to settle the score.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/344364/110206cvsc2.jpg

On Jan. 25, 1978 at Miami’s Orange Bowl, NWA Champion Harley Race (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/halloffame/harleyrace/) and WWE Champion “Superstar” Billy Graham squared off. It was champion vs. champion and a battle of two future WWE Hall of Famers. However, after 60 minutes of punishing action, the time limit expired. The bout was declared a draw, leaving the question of supremacy unanswered.

Bob Backlund toppled Graham for the WWE Championship (http://www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/wwechampionship/) a few weeks later, and before he had time to celebrate his victory, Race was back at the WWE Champion’s heels. On Feb. 23, 1978, just three days following Backlund’s victory over Graham, he met Race in Jacksonville, Fla.

Again, however, the match went to a draw, so they would try again later in the year. On Oct. 29 in Orlando, Race and Backlund battled to yet another draw, making it seem as if no one would ever get the upper hand in this stalemate.

http://www.wwe.com/content/media/images/344364/110206cvsc1.jpg

Early in 1979, the AWA joined the fray, as AWA World
Champion Nick Bockwinkel challenged Backlund. But on March 25 at Toronto’s famed Maple Leaf Gardens, the two men battled to a double countout, still leaving the issue unsettled. Four matches in 13 months failed to settle the score, and the issue was laid to rest.

It would be revived a few years later, as the NWA had a new benchmark. Backlund was still WWE Champion, but “Nature Boy” Ric Flair (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/ricflair/) was then the NWA Champion. In the midst of his first of 16 World Title reigns, Flair challenged Backlund to a battle of supremacy.

On July 4, 1982 at the Atlanta Omni (the building that was to the NWA what MSG is to WWE), Flair and Backlund had their showdown. Again, however, nothing was settled, as the two champions battled to a double countout.

So now, nearly a quarter-century later, the debate is once again in the forefront. At Cyber Sunday, John Cena (http://www.wwe.com/superstars/raw/johncena/), King Booker or Big Show will finally settle the debate when they stand tall as the Champion of Champions. Who will it be?

And, with only one wrong prediction tonight, I shall call the Champion of Champions match....

As we are too late to go for a one hour draw now, I guess we're going to have an actual winner (unless Lilian calls a 30-minute time limit).

If the WWE Championship is on the line, I call Cena to win. If the World championship is on the line, King Booker wins. The only grey area is the Big Show. Apparently he is in such a bad way, he has been taken off the road. So if the ECW title is up for grabs (unlikely, anyway), I reckon we could see Show lose the gold, and either Cena or Booker will walk into the ECW PPV as champion. It's all moot until we know which belt is on the line anyway, so I shall save my prediction until the votes have been revealed. :D

I would be very unhappy if Cena had both belts. But hopefully SOMETHING unexpected happens at a PPV for a change regarding a world title.

I take back everything I said about Rowdy Roddy Piper's physique. He still puts the Big Show to shame.

Cena can't have two titles. Unless somehow he's gonna end up on Smackdown in one way or another.

But I can see King Booker walking out of this with title.

Well how many times has Cena been on Smackdown lately?

Yeah I don't think it'll be hard for him to win the title and drop it tomorrow night at the Supershow.

I wanted to see Booker walk out with the WWE and World title, but apparently the marks all voted for the heels belt to be on the line, assuming its not rigged.

Cena should have gone to smackdown by losing at Unforgiven as it is, and heres another chance for them to segway him over there but they won't.

I very strongly doubt Booker's title is changing hands tonight. Be it a screw-job, a schmozz or whatever, I think Booker is leaving with his title around his waist.

They should have saved this Champion Of Champions deal for when, down the line, they want to merge the belts and create another Undisputed champion.

Big Show has gone so lazy he doesn't even drop down on the chokeslam anymore, he just swats his opponent away. He would probably be hurting a lot less if he just dropped some weight. Can you believe this guy used to use dropkicks and moonsaults when he first started wrestling??

I guess you've been living under a rock, because The Big Show has been under a lot of pain for a while now, even contemplating retirement.

There's a difference between being lazy and being hurt.

Yea its an interesting match concept, that due to the current situation, isn't very interesting. They should have saved it for the end of brand extension or when they had champions who were more interesting, pitting a World Champ against the WWE champ at a wrestlemania to end BE. oh well i guess.

I don't remember ever seeing him do a dropkick, and that moonsault thing is a hugh fucking pork pie!

And it's not really his fault he can't drop weight, you do realise parts of his body are growing faster than the rest...much like Andre. Could he be better?Probably, but it's not like he just sits on his ass and gets huge.

Maybe the reason he's in so much pain is because he's carrying 500lbs plus around that ring with him, openly admits to never working out and living on a diet of junk food, and smokes a lot of cigarettes. If he lost 200lbs, which he can because he was only 300lbs when he debuted, he would alleviate a lot of that stress on his body that is now causing him these problems. Okay, nowadays he is hurt. But that is because, for the last ten years, he has been a lazy bastard.

I've seen him perform dropkicks back in 95/96, and he was seen performing moonsaults in training. The only reason it wasn't a major part of his repertoire is because none of his opponents were willing to be on the receiving end of a 300lb moonsault, and would not let him use it on them.

If KFED gets a match for the title against Cena, which looks possible, can WWE ever say anything bad about WCW again? David Arquette winning the WCW belt isnt any worse than KFED getting a SHOT at the WWE belt. This is a dark night for wrestling

Couldn't he just go out for a run? Or cut down on the McDonald's?

This is a guy who BOASTS that he never works out, and that he lives off junk food. His ailments which result from his condition, I sympathise with. But he could make it much easier for himself (and earn his big fat paychecks) if he got off his lazy ass once in a while.

And he doesn't suffer from the same condition as Andre, something similar but not exactly the same. His condition won't cut his life as short as Andre's did, and it shouldn't affect his keeping in shape. I mean, up until 1997 he was in great shape, so it can't have been that difficult for him to hit the gym. The fact is, the guy cannot be arsed.

answers.com gets their info from Wiki. Wiki gets their info from idiots on the internet who confuse something they saw on WCW World Tour on 64 for real life. No dice. I stick to the fact Paul White has never done a moonsault.

I knew from the announce ment that who ever had their tittle picked would win and thats why i didnt order this. Also i wanted Kane to win and Umaga to lose his stupid Streak because everyone has one ever since Goldberg had his quit if he loses streaks
