This is pretty good, tbh. Didn't really get into their last album very much. THeir self-titled album was better. But this new one is a solid album. A lot more variety than in their previous albums.

Dunno how tpww feels about this band, tbh.

Yeah thats the weird thing. I'm not emo and I don't identify with the lyrics. Just good music I guess.

This is one of those albums with no filler. Every song is good.

Good album, don't see it as the album to push them into superstardom like a lot of magazines said it would, but stilla good album

I haven't heard it. Loved I Brought You My Bullets... enjoyed Three Cheers for the most part, but I dunno. I saw the video clip for the first single (which I assume is called The Black Parade?) but I really didn't get hooked or anything. Still, will probably give it a download just to see. I dunno, a lot of bands that I used to LOVE have released pretty subpar third albums recently, so after being disappointed by Sparta, Thursday and Taking Back Sunday (as well as AFI, but that's well after their third CD), I am actually more hesitant these days to pick up new stuff from bands that I have loved in the past. :-\

It's decent, but nothing tops I Brought You My Bullets though.

They haven't broken up yet?

When I was,
A young boy,
My father, took me into the city
To see a marching band
He said "son when, you grow up, will you be, the saviour of the broken, the beaten and the damned."
He said "will you defeat them, your demons, and all the non-believers, the plans that they have made, Because one day, I'll leave you, a phantom, to lead you in the summer, to join the black parade."

When I was,
A young boy
My father, took me into the city
To see a marching band
He said "son when, you grow up, will you be, the saviour of the broken, the beaten and the damned."

Sometimes I get the feeling, she's watching over me
And other times I feel like I should go
When through it all, the rise and fall
The bodies in the street
And when you're gone we want you all to know

We'll carry on, We'll carry on
And though you say you don't believe
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
Until my heart I can't contain it
The anthem won't explain it

And we will send you reeling from decimated dreams
You're misery and hate will kill us all
So paint it black and take it back
Lets shout it loud and clear
To fight it to the end we hear the call
To carry on

We'll carry on,
And though your dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And though your broken and defeated
Your weary widow marches on
And on we carry through the fears
Oh oh oh

Here's the poignant faces of your piers
Oh oh oh
Take a look at me 'cause I could not care at all
Do or die
You'll never make me
'cause the world, will never take my (heart)
You can try; you'll never break me
You want it all, I'm gonna play this (part)
Won't explain, or say I'm sorry
I'm not ashamed, I'm gonna show my (scar)
You're the chair, for all the broken
Lose it here, because it's too me
I'm just a man; I'm not a hero
Just a boy, whose meant to sing this (song)
I'm just a man; I'm not a hero
I
Don't
Care

We'll carry on
We'll carry on
And though you're dead and gone believe me
Your memory will carry on
We'll carry on
And though your broken and defeated
Your weary widow marches on
(Do or die
You'll never make me
'Cause the world, will never take my (heart)
You can try; you'll never break me
You want it all, I'm gonna play this (part)
Won't explain, or say I'm sorry
I'm not ashamed, I'm gonna show my (scar)
You're the chair, for all the broken
Lose it here, because it's too me
I'm just a man; I'm not a hero
Just a boy, whose meant to sing this (song)
I'm just a man; I'm not a hero)
We'll carry on
We'll carry on
We'll carry on
We'll carry on
We'll carry on

Downloaded this 2 weeks before it came out, listened to it once, deleted it. Same night. Terrible band, tbh. This album was a bunch of weird noise and warbled GERARDnoise. Yes, he has his own noise. MCR just reminds me of a pre-teen Alkaline Trio.

I prefer Three Cheers, but Black Parade is still a pretty solid album

Pre-numetal Slayer is pretty good shit. More recent Slayer is pretty gay. As is that song The Black Parade.

Just downloaded this CD. Gotta say, overall I like it a lot better than their last one. Has more songs that I like, instead of just a couple. In fact, I pretty much like this entire CD. Really only liked a few songs off of their last CD, but the songs I did like were pretty good.

They had an Self-Titled CD?

I knew of this one, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and you Bought your love, I bought my bullets

No, I was thinking of Brought your love, i brought my bullets. Dunno why i was thinking self-titled.

I heard one song and I wondered why Poison changed their name to My Chemical Romance.

I still don't understand why this band is so popular. They were one of the last emo bands I thought would strike it big. I remember when Three Cheers came out, my girlfriend was like, "My sister loves My Chemical Romance" and I was shocked because her sister was like 11 when that album came out.

I enjoyed their first album, I guess. I was 16 years old then though. The first album was more Thursday/Thrice sounding than everything that followed which was more mainstream sounding.

I like the CD but it just seems to me like they're trying harder and harder to become a 5-man Green Day.

I liked Three Cheers too but I Brought You My Bullets is just something special in my opinion. I think the lyrics satisfied the sadomasochist in me.

People who know me, know how much I love MCR but this album (what ive heard of it) sucks.
I'm amazed that they are the same band that wrote 'vampires....'.
Damn you frank :(
