What was the biggest pop you've all personally seen? To me, I'd say Flair's return to WCW in '98. It was massive. I've been watching the Monday Night War DVD the last few hours, and I really don't think I've ever seen anything so big. I got chills.

...And you?

Stone Cold coming to help Mankind win the title against The Rock in 99.

Chris Jericho's WWE Debut.

Beat me to it on both counts.

HHH's return when he came back from the quad injury.

HBK winning the elimination chamber match for the title.

DX when they destroyed the Spirit Squad.

Kane coming out and stopping the UnAmerican's from burning the flag.

Triple H's return is the best pop ever.

Bar none.

MSG, WWE was on a roll, it had been so well built up, great entrance music.

Those were huge, but if you factor in the size of arenas, I don't know that anything can top the return of Raven to ECW, when he and Dreamer beat the Dudley Boys to win the ECW Tag Team Titles. It was ungodly.

But as far as just pure loud make the most noise, yeah I gotta go with Triple H's MSG return.

On a personal note, the Flair return in '98 was probably the biggest pop of my life.

It definitely did. I remember jumping off my seat when Hogan rock-bottomed Rocky. I think though, the moment Hogan 'hulked up' after kicking out of the rock-bottom was the most deafening point. People were going freaking crazy, everywhere you looked.

On TV, Austin's music hitting during Rock/Mankind, Harts music hitting during Michaels promo in Montreal, Eddie Guerrero returning to El Paso, and Jericho 'beating' Trips for the title pop straight into my head.

I'd say Mick Foley / Rock matchup on Raw...Stone Cold's pop that night...crazy.

Hogan/Rock was also huge...but then again, it had 70+ thousand people there I believe.

^^^ That was pretty awesome. I'd forgotten that moment. It's funny how back then, we were talking about how the WWE was going downhill already, but it's like super duper worse now.

Crap, next few years might not look good either.

It wasn't much a reaction to be honest, more of a shock combined with the hardcore Jerichoholics going nuts. Always remember seeing some woman in the crowd holding her arms out and saying 'what the fuck was that' to Vince as he stumbled backwards up the ramp.

El Fangel

I was drunk on Jericohol back then.

And this comes from a person with Jericho as his avvy :?:

Jeritron

It only wasnt a huge pop because it was poorly executed. He was a heel. After the pops he recieved from his debut and then quickly increasing popularity in late 99/00, where he was a heel who did the austin thing and turned a face solely because of fan reactions he was way over. This was indicated by when he won the title in the classic "it never happened moment" As the next year and a half went by he continued to gain huge fan support but then on the eve of his break into the bigtime main event, they booked hiim as a heel.
Think of it this way, say at SS 2001, instead of him betraying the rock who was on his own, book it the other way. Make Jericho the one betrayed and have him pull it out, then HHH wins the undisputed champion and turns on the fans immediately in his return, making him an uber-heel. Then Jericho goes over him at Mania. If that had been done, things would be different in WWE today.

As you can see..My names Joe, and I'm a Jericoholic.

Don't get me wrong, I went nuts watching it, but as Jeritron says, he was a heel and the lay-WWE-fan didn't want him to win over Austin. I think shock combined with the fact that Booker & Vince had helped him win led to the poor reaction.

It's my favourite ever WWE moment, I marked out like a school-girl hearing she'd made the cheer-leading team. As captain. Or leader....whatever you guys call it.

As it says below my avatar...Chris Jericho...I miss you.

I would say Hogan Slamming Andre at WM3 was a huge pop. I mean 93 thousand can't be too quiet for that I wouldn't think...

I'd also say Angle winning the Title in Pittsburgh at Unforgiven

HHH's return as many have pointed out.

Rock showing up at Raw to help Eugene against Coach unexpectly at one Raw I remember. That was crazy.

Jeritron

I think there gets a point where a pop can't get any louder. And most of these are examples of it. Theres moments among these where I'm sure if the crowd could physically scream louder, they would have.

Tb1

Also, Rock returning to help Foley against La Resistance

I remember the cameras we shaking, and it looked like everyone in the crowd were jumping on their own individual mini trampoline.
