I still have a little bag somewhere with a PS2 controller in about 100 pieces 'cause of the flight school on San Andreas. I just destroyed it for like 5 minutes straight. And then I felt better.

I also threw my old PS2 'cause I was playing Pro Evo and as Roberto Carlos, some 70 odd speed jobber anihalated me for pace. I was already in a real bad mood, trying to calm down by playing the game. That didn't work.

But yeah, I tend to get wound up sometimes with computer games...

I hit my old laptop plenty of times 'cause of Football Manager as well.

Well no controllers but I threw Super Smash Brothers for N64. Something was wrong with my game and after I worked my butt off to get Luigi unlocked, it corrupted itself, so I took it out and threw it against a wall. Didn't break though.

Shaved Monkey

Yeah, I threw it after getting frustrated playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

One of the areas near the end really, really pissed me off after like the 25th try.

Shockingly it survived, but I had to replaster part of my wall.

Never tossed controllers; controllers that go from $25 to $50 shouldn't be considered for in-house flight. Some of you guys need anger management. Besides; breaking a controller does nothing to the AI that angered you.

Break the the game with a cheat code and call it even.

I've had a 360 controller fall off the bed and break the R1 Button. Fucken stupid microsoft made them switch buttons, not squish buttons. Morons.

I've thrown mine. But that's about it.

My friend tho, lol, I was kicking his ass in Perfect Dark, and he must of slammed his controller on the floor like 50 times in that 10 minute game. I was untouchable that game

McLegend

I throw mine all the time.

Once I threw my controller at my door which is like half way across my room from where I usually sit and surprisly it didn't break. A few mintues later though I threw it at my friend and he put his hand up to block it and in doing that he broke the rumble pack part of the PS2 controller.

I only dropped mine out of pure goofiness a couple of times. I wouldn't throw a controller though, because I'm a cheap bastard and don't want to pay for a new one.

I have. Several times. But that was back in the SNES and SEGA days. Maybe once or twice on the 64 but nothing since. Wisend up once I started buying them.

Nah. Most of my rage came from computer games.

I got lag killed in Diablo II and the game in general was virtually unplayable for long bouts of time. Although it would go in and out so you think you might be able to play but no, you can't. I punched my deck as hard as I could and it somehow messed something up in my monitor and it wouldn't show picture anymore.

More recently, World of Warcraft. I have a big hole in my wall next to my computer over this game. I also threw my nearly empty jug of iced tea on the ground and it bounced up and sprayed the few drops left all over my roommates computer and desk.

Disturbed316
12-11-2006, 08:35 AM
Yeah, especially with No Mercy like people have said, but it was mainly to the floor rather than a shot across the room.

El Fangel

Snes controllers are so resilient its not funny, to break them takes alot, I had one with a torn cord, and for fun I tried smashing it, it took 10-15 hard hits on a concrete floor to break it in half.

Playing Chrono Trigger unlocks my inner rage. It's the only game that I've yelled at, and the only game where I've thrown the controller. I wasn't playing the game, mind you. The game was playing me.

Extreme Angle
12-11-2006, 12:36 PM
I usually drop mine and as I drop it I usualy try to catch it... which ends up in me slamming the controller into the wall.
When I am angry I just punch my bed, that way it's stress relief and my hand doesn't hurt

Meh, its good for a quick fix, and if it breaks, I'll just buy a new one.

About a month or so ago I was playing a PS2 game with a cheap-ass piece of shit http://image1.mapmuse.com/images/all/logo_GAMESTOP.gif controller, and I got so pissed I threw it onto the floor as hard as I could. It didn't completely break, but I did lose the R1 button, so I still can't use it anyway anymore, unless I find the R1 button and can reattach it so it would respond when it was pressed.

Broke one N64 controller playing Goldeneye 007, trying to beat the Silo level on 007 Agent. Fucking impossible shit. Always got to that last part where the machine guns are firing at you from the ceiling, right before the elevator.

I'd get like 2 steps from the fucking elevator and the cutscene for victory, and the fucking machine gun would get me, or some guy who I thought I had killed but obviously had not.

Also threw a couple controllers playing Mortal Kombat on the good ol' SNES, but those things were made for throwing.

Would never throw an X360 controller... at least the older controllers have cords, so they can only be thrown so far.

It didn't take too long to figure out that part but until I did I got really pissed.

Worst part about Goldeneye was the end when no matter how many times you shot 006, he would't die, and more guards would come from nowhere.

I usually just slammed my fist down onto my controller, repeatedly, rather than throw it in anger. The only problem with that was that my controller would usually be resting on my leg whilst i did it, so i'd end up getting big bruises on my thighs.

But I haven't done any of that in awhile.

At least once that I can remember and maybe on another occasion or two.

The one I can remember involved a game of FIFA many years ago against a cousin on the Gamecube. Only thing I remember about that match was it being very close and missed a great chance to score right near the end of the game that would have won it only for my cousin to go on a big counter attack and scored to snatch the win instead. Chucked my GC controller on the floor and it bounced right back in my hands. To this day, the L trigger on the controller is still a bit messed up from that incident.

The other one that I'm not entirely sure might have involved getting super pissed off over some of the very hard trial-and-error style levels in Donkey Kong Country Returns and might have tossed the Wiimote once or twice out of pure frustration.

I did break the "NES Flight Stick" on one of my brother's faces though. He had it coming.....
