How come I've never seen a wrestler sneeze? Or cough or hiccup or anything. Not during an interview or even during a match. There's some independant wrestlers on these boards, c'mon what's the secret. How do you guys not catch colds or anything?

You know, I've seen a few coughs (I know I saw Flair, and I think I saw Angle and Goldust) and when I saw them they felt extremely out of place. I've never seen a wrestler sneeze. That has to be some damn good self control, considering how many live shows they have done over the years, and the amount of footage out there.

This is an oddly interesting question.

Oh, and you can't have a thread about bodily functions without a Sid reference.

So, yeah, remember when Sid Shitass shit himself?

Test had a huge amount of snot coming out of his nose when he ran into save Big Show from Lashley a few weeks back. Perhaps he sneezed on the way up to the ramp.

They save it for high risk spots, where it's covered by the impact of the move.

Why do you think wrestlers look so "sweaty?"

OMG, I've wondered this as well. I've also wondered, seriously, whether wrestlers ever had to go to the bathroom during a match...I mean Sid couldnt have been the only one.

I seem to remember Angle winning the title at Survivor Series with a massive booger hanging from his face. I think JR even made reference to it...

Why is/was the Undertaker called Booger Red anyway? Because he had red hair or a really nasty nose infection or what?

What about after a huge knockdown?

Or whilst cutting an interview?

can you imagine the hilarity if Austin sneezed while doing a face to face pose opposite of The Rock at Wrestle Mania X-Seven? Or pick any great, emotional feud and have one of the wrestlers just sneeze during a moment of a crucial plotline twist or the big payoff match.

Bingo. It's a Texas thing going back to Samuel Privett, with the same nickname.

As for the original question, I have no idea, but I'll take a stab and say it might have something to do with adrenaline.

Okay, we have established that there are quite a few boogers in the world of wrestling, but that doesn't mean they were sneezed out.

In all the sports I've played, I don't think I've ever sneezed or hiccuped while playing. I have yawned, but that's it.

Hmm, this might be proof that when your mind is on some physical activity, bodily functions temporarily halt.

This makes me wonder whether or not atheletes and wrestlers, after their game/match, explode in a symphony of flatulence, belching, shitting, pissing, couching, sneezing, hiccupping, and yawning, all at the same time.

It would explain Nash's multiple quad injuries.

I believe the wrestling fans do that during a show these days also.

Or during a huge debut. Like what if Booker T when debuting in WWE ran fromthe crowd but then had to stop to sneeze before hitting Austin. Everyone would just be like "......"

I was thinking if these situations were to happen, it'd be awesome if it happened to one of those chain sneezers. You know, those guys who sneeze 43 times befoe their done.

So many times I wanted something like this to happen, like when Spamky was chugging syrup, or when Austin drank beer, actually I think he did burp. Or when Angle downed the box of milk. I wanted to see them burp, gag, or cough.

Wrestlers don't mess up enough. It's not fair. :(

This isn't about a burp or a sneeze, but all this talk about wrestlers messing up reminds me of a couple of months ago when Flair was talking about somebody's book. He walked to the corner of the ring and tossed his mic to the mat and tried talking into the book

You know, I always wondered why Albert (A train) looked so wet! All that hair to trap it in too!

I bet they fart a lot. Reason being, I'm sure most of them take some sort of protein drink. Well that stuff tends to gas people up and getting slammed will cause release of it.
