View Full Version : Favorite Show Currently on TV
I haven't seen this thread in a long time. What's your favorite show currently on TV right now? So no Wonder Years or fucking Star Trek.
Mine:

The Office.
EDIT: I think I should rephrase. Favorite show currently on TV that is currently still running and in production. No reruns. Glad we could establish that.

You know there are shows out there that are currently still running and in production that actually have reruns, right? For example, over here, the first 10 years of The Simpsons are on like permanent rotation, even though the show is still being produced.
....
do you really want me to get more specific? do you not get it?

I don't watch any of them when they're on TV, though cause of conflicting schedules. I hardly watch any TV anymore. I mostly just buy the seasons, and those are the ones I like enough to own a bunch of their DVDs.

Criss Angel Mind Freak pisses me off sometimes because it seems like it'd be so fake to be there watching. I'd need to see him float from a building to a building in person to believe it.

I gotta throw down my vote for Scrubs, as well. :y:
If that show never wins an Emmy, it will be a crying shame. John C. McGinley is fucking awesome on that show. It's a fucking comedy, yet his acting is better than most drama shows. So is the rest of the cast's, to be perfectly frank. Why uber-hot Sarah Chalke is not appearing in anything else with her hottness baffles me.
I have a thing for Conan O'Brien, as well. He's more accessible over here in Australia, so I can catch all his shows. The guy's a comedy genius.
I'm also a fan of the Law & Order shows as well. For those of you who enjoy the shows, or like the show Oz, I recommend Homicide: Life on the Street on DVD. One of the greatest shows of all-time.

24 in a blowout.
Nothing really beats 24 for me. Keifer Sutherland is amazing and the whole show just gets me jacked up for some reason. I'm currently watching season 4 now. Working my way to the current season hopefully by March.
First episode, when Jack is back at CTU and he sneaks in to interrorgate that guy and he shoots him in the leg. HOLY SHIT that was the man. Then the scene when he calls Audrey and tells her that the Secertary of Defense is the target and she puts the phone down and says " Oh no " and then you see the missile whistle by her head as they attack the Seceratarys secret service. That was awsome.
Nothing beats 24 at all really. Nothing comes close. The next show i'm going to start watching from season 1 on is The Wire cause i've heard some amazing things about the show, but right now. I"m all about 24.

top 5, with 24 being #1 and the rest in no specific order:
24
The Office
Lost
Entourage
House
Kane Knight
01-27-2007, 02:17 PM
House
Heroes (This would probably be higher, but I'm worried the ending can't live up to the hype built).
The Wire
Doctor Who
Psych
Stargate SG-1 (Best season in ages, though it's going to be the last)
Bones
Battlestar Galactica
I think, barring the Daily show/Colbert Report, that covered everything I watch regularly. Well, except the Simpsons, but I have a feeling that I shouldn't count the old episodes, which is what I want. I mean, that seems to be the spirit of the idea here. Otherwise, SG-1 would be higher, and I could put CSI on (Haven't watched it in a while...Too far downhill).

I'd add Dr Who and Torchwood but they are between seasons over here.
