Really sucks.

Big men in the WWE are almost like old NFL O Linemen. They rarely shake their "playing" weight ala Big Bossman, Yokozuna and this happens

I honestly never got into him back in the day... and never saw him in ECW... but I'll always remember The Triad.

Really sucks.

Big Bossman was a lot trimmer during his final WWE run than he had been in his "prime" and had apparently lost even more weight in the year leading up to his death.

Bigelow was also looking slimmer in pictures from about a year ago when he was involved in a motorcycle accident.

Anyways, R.I.P. big man.

I actually watched WrestleMania IV again two days ago, and remember being impressed by his match against the One Man Gang. Bigelow really could move in there, and had an entertaining little match against the Gang.

They should never have lumbered him with Oliver Humperdink back then, a good manager such as Bobby Heenan could really have led Bam Bam to the top of the company as a heel opponent for Hulk Hogan.

Saw him at a few house shows growing up, and then against Taz at Heatwave 98 where they went through the entrance aisle. Amazing big man, and as everybody here is saying, completely underutilized. RIP.

I can't say that I was a fan of him or that I grew up watching him, but you never like to hear about someone's death, especially when they were young.

One of my personal favourites back in the early 90's growing up watching wrestling.

One of the few names in wrestling that parents will actually recognise. My parents anyway.

Loved watching him in WWF when I was younger, loved his run in ECW. He'll be missed.

Wow... he died so young.

I have nothing but respect for Bam Bam Bigelow and what he's done in the ring.

I remember hearing aboout him saving a family, or at least one person, from a house that was on fire. I have more respect for that, than pretty much anything anyone else has ever done.

WoW, was surprised when I read that earlier.

Such a shame. Definitely one of my favorite big guys from when I was kid / fan, and one of my favorite LJN's to have beat down the good guys :) I had the pleasure of meeting him back in the late 90's very briefly, when he was with his kid. Nice guy, and very friendly to me.

Loved his stuff in Japan, his WWF run, his time in WCW and ECW. Basically a big fan of his whole career. Shame to hear this, and my thoughts and prayers go to his family. I will await further news on this, as I want to see the cause.

Like KoOS said, with all the assholes in the wrestling bussiness it is a shame that bigelow, eddie, owen have to leave, truly good people.

Bam Bam was without a doubt one of the best big men of all time, and his run in ECW was what i'll allways remember him for, he gave ECW crediblity.

:( It's really sad to see someone go so young, especially a guy like Bam Bam Bigelow, who I loved as a wrestler. Despite not really holding titles in the 80s or early nineties in major North American promotions, Bam Bam was easily one of the most famous wrestlers of his time, and certainly a top talent. Moved well for a big guy, and he sure as Hell had charisma.

I always hoped to see Bam Bam compete again, but I guess it's not to be. RIP Bam Bam.

He was Easily one of the most agile big men in the business. In many ways, he set the stage for Vader in the U.S. In addition, he's probably one of the more recognizeable wrestlers of my time. His brief role in Major Payne ruled all, too.

Here's to you, Beast from the East...

I haven't been around the forum lately, but it takes something like this to bring me back.

Needless to say, I was shocked when I got home and read the news. Because yeah, he was a personal favorite of mine and prob the best big man in the business to me. It took me years to realize it, but when I caught him on that ECW ppv, was when I saw Bam Bam had it all. And after that, I had to watch everything this guy did, even last night I saw one of his early WWF matches on youtube. He even made me wanna watch this horrible movie w/ Renegade since he was on the cover. I'd watch the Wrestlemania arcade game video over that any day though. "The man has TATOOS on his head!"

To me, Bam Bam is greatness that I can't even describe and one of those wrestlers I wished to see live. There will never be another like him. Bam Bam, you will be missed. RIP

I dont suspect it was anything drug related though surely? He never seemed the type i thought :o

He was a painkiller addict during most of his career and beyond. Not sure if he had conquered it in recent times, however.

Well, his home is currently being treated as a crime scene. That's unusual for a drug overdose or even a suicide I believe. Murder?

I'll always remember Bam Bam, especially from my childhood. He was one of the best performers I had ever seen growing up, and I still consider him top quality even now. Seeing a man of such massive size move with the agility that man did was enough to amaze anyone. Never again will we see someone with so much talent at his size. He is no doubt on of the 2 or 3 best performers to never win the big one (a major world title).

R.I.P. Bam Bam, and thanks for all the great memories.
