Now even though spring training hasn't even started yet, my sources are reporting to me that the Cincinnati Reds are the front runners to win the 2004 World Series. They are also saying that the Chicago Cubs will be in last place.

Did the Reds become a minor league team or something?

Man, I'm tired of all this talk about the REDS a lock for the world series. Sure when a team has the money to buy players like Sean Bergman, Croomer, MacRae to AAA contracts, what do you expect? They are trying to buy the World Series!

I think this is funny because it's in a thread with Loose Cannon's Yankees logo. Seriously hoping you're being sarcastic. If so, that's damn good. If not...special class for you.

What's going on with Griffey?

he showed up to spring training a week early

I hope he stays healthy because hitting his 500th homer is going to be the only thing to cheer for this year except maybe I'll start rooting for loss #120

BUMP FOR THE SKEPTICS

Reds went 17-16 in spring which obviously means they'll go 104-58 this year and win the World Series

He also broke his leg (I believe) sliding into first base at the only Reds game I ever saw in person.

The Tigers are 3-0! The Tigers are 3-0! The Tigers are 3-0!

This from a team that started 4-24 last year.

Of course, I'm not holding my breath...

"Hi. We're the Philadelphia Phillies and we just spent $450 million on a new stadium to play in so we can crush our opponents."

"Nice to meet you. We're the Cincinnati Reds and we just stomped a hole in your skull in your own house."
