He shouldn't have apologized. I agree with his original statement. I wouldn't go as far as calling is a piece, but I do agree with him.

Hardly a publicity stunt. This is pretty much what the first part of GDC is. It's a chance for developers to talk about things relating to the business. They have something turn out like this every year.

I don't see why it shouldn't be considered an art form. If movies are considered an art form, why would making them interactive take away the art?

I can easily see the argument for art. However, most people will view video games as they do any other disposable source of entertainment, and treat it little better than pornography, daytime soaps, and so on....

Has he forgot that they are called GAMES consoles not ART consoles.

If a game is no fun what merit does it have?

I don't give a flying fuck how pretty a game looks or how pretentious it's messag if it is not fun.

I don't own a Wii but i applaud Nintento for taking gaming back to where it should be, relatively cheap fun.

Games can be intelligent and beautiful, and i appreciate them more for it, however they HAVE to be fun.

This man is a fucking idiot, not only that but he hasn't even got the stones to stand up for his moronic opinions.
