Create a player/team sucks..You can't really do any details or anything, especially the goalies..he just wears a white helmet

I dont understand why its not like the rest of the EA Sports games where you put so many details into your create-a-players

If you don't like the uniforms, check NHLDepot.net and CyberNHL and they have downloads you can get to make your players look better (equiptment wise)

I just perfected the one timer last night, go down the wing, so you go further than the net, and pass it diagonally backwards to the guy who's infront of the net, and shoot it as fast as you can, if you get it right it goes in every time

Also if there's a loose puck near the net, shoot it quickly and it'll go in every time :[

I like how the PC version explains the strategies, so I actually know what to do with them now

I was going to buy this game the other day cause I had a gift certificate for this site and I wanted a hockey game, but I wound up getting "The History of the Yankees" on DVD. Oh well, I'll get it on half.com when it's at like 20 bucks.

This game sucks. I got it at around Chrsitmas time and I've played it maybe 5 times since. It is barely an upgrade over 2003. More of the same shit, except the controls are even wonkier, and the computer cheats more.

I hate EA Sports so much. If they would put half as much effort into NHL that they put into Madden it might be a decent game.

Yeah the CAP isn't all that great, although it does get the job done. Could be better, but it's good enough. :$

As for me, I have my custom defenceman, Tony Irving. #52, for the Ducks. Well I made him just as a free agent, then when I started my dynasty I just sigend him. When I made him I just made him 99 overall, but because of all the facilities, practices, etc, he's around 93 or so overall. He's making $11 million per year, for 6 years :o

The game itself I really like though. It surprised me how different it was from 2003, almost to the point where I didn't like it. I regretted shelling out $70 for it for the first like, month that I bought it. But I f'n love the game now. The only thing that irritates the hell out of me is the music. It's actually my preferred type of music, but the track listing is so limited and all the sounds are just so loud and in-your-face that it gets annoying for the menus.

Eh?

It's a crappy game. I don't get how I'm the reason for that, but whatever.

I keep thinking it will grow on me, but it just doesn't,. There isn't enough of an upgrade over 2003 for me to be interested.

It's not better, imo, just different. But not that different. The fighting is better, and it's a bit more difficult, but eh.

To be honest, I don't even know why I don't like it really. I'll boot up the game, play a game, maybe two, and then turn it off and not play for two weeks. :meh:

I've become really good on medium now, to the point where I can have really fun games that aren't 10-0 to me each time, a fun challenge.

Although medium on Gamecube was another story resulting in a broken disc :$:(

I wanna play online more though so any of you that have it that wanna play, i'm up for a game most of the time

computer Hockey games rule the earth. Haven't bought a new one since NHL 2002. The key to scoring on these games are fast shots. Aim before shooting. Lots of one timers and backhand deeks. They are the key to beating puta goalies.

I scored off rebounds a lot and I was like 7-0 but when that stopped working I have been winning or losing in games that end up being like 2-1

Haha did this sweet one timer by accident, Sakic centered it to Kovalchuk right in front of Turek, and Turek dives down before I even shoot, and then he just slapshots it right in the middle of the net

Giguere got his first SO of the season too in that game, i'm 13-2-0-0 I think :o
