Ok so i wrote some new songs for a potential band I'm hoping to get started this sunday.
Lines just came into my head like at a bookstore on July 21st, 2007 (Harry Potter).
From those who you drink with
to those who make you drink
The look that leaves you speechless
is the one that makes you think
the person you lay down by
is the one you stand up for
and we strive to live so rich
but everyone dies poor
It's a hole
we get ourselves into
Crazy wishes and Innuendo
The routine of the sane
seems strange to the fatigued
man in the alley with the cocaine on his sleeve
everyone knows what your fake smile looks like
so why don't you just scowl?
and when the wolves are out to get you
why do you decide to howl?
The things that make you feel alive
is the stuff that leaves you dead
and the one you say created you
is a voice inside your head
It's a hole
we get ourselves into
Maxed out credit cards or too much to do
The placid state of our denial
makes our mother's proud that we believe in survival
but to those who think there is something more
we shut them down
or pass them, scorned
by our bitter looks and unseen hands
we break apart with scholarship grants
it's a hole
but keep climbing
and when you get out there's a silver lining
and you got to grab that

that silver circle

that giant ring

I've been reading Diary by Chuck Palhiniuk and it'sreally inspired me, this next song came from that.
tracing your letters with my finger tips discovering how you felt
were you a reprimanded adult or a kid hit with a belt?
you wrote "don't paint the last wall till the owners come
so the devil won't know the house is done"
Manufacture spontanity or just become cliche
destroy, create, it's all insane
you get the same results in the end
which is, just that, the end
I stick a different brooch into my chest each day
that way i discover a brand new pain
You said "everything in my heart is the same
nothing new can come from me"
Discover hate or be a liar
one's own fate, there is nothing higher
you're gonna be burned on the stake
so you may as well admit your mistakes
You're gonna die in an imperfect world
But you lived as an imperfect girl
it wasn't anything you did wrong
it's just that the band played that song

Someone's here and he's impassioned
Soon enough we'll switch our roles
