You know, the exact opposite of the normal, who do you mark out for but know you shouldn't thread.

I think the obvious answer from me is Chris "Toothless jackass" Beniot.

I don't really hate any wrestlers. I remember that they are people, and have a Hell of a lot more passion for the industry than I do, as they go out there almost every night and put their bodies on the line for it.

I've always wanted to discuss why some people dislike certain people. Namely as follows:

Kane Knight, why do you dislike CM Punk?

KingofOldSchool, who do you dislike Mr. Kennedy?

The One, why do you dislike Paul London & Brian Kendrick?

Mr. Nerfect
04-04-2007, 11:03 PM
I mean, everyone's entitled to their opinions and all, I just want a complete view on the wrestlers, and you might have some insight into them that I have missed. Of course you could have just been turned off by the rep they get, like I was with Napoleon Dynamite.

They just keep coming.

Jeff Hardy - Honestly.
RVD - Comes off as a complete asshole, self-obsessed and spot-monkeying.
Sting - Never done anything for me, personally. The Crow rip-off.

(I don't 'actially' hate anyone either)

Edit: And RVD SELLING HIS OWN GODDAMN FROG SPLASH. Ugh, that pisses me off every time.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Every time he's appeared on my television since about 1999, I've changed the channel. The repetition of the Austin/McMahon feud made me want to pull my hair out. But at least McMahon was entertaining.

I've actually agreed with almost every one of your picks, to be honest. None of the guys really do anything for me.

Jeff Hardy in particular, back in the day when he was a spot-monkey, really underwhelmed me. Matt has always been my preferred Hardy, and he is really growing into an amazing wrestler. Since returning, Jeff has been a lot better, though (at least in my opinion).

Ric Flair.

Everybody always talks about how great he was, back in the day. To be fair, I should probably find some of his stuff from the 80s and see if it was actually any good. At this point, though, I'm inclined to suspect it was overrated. I've seen what he's done since 1994 and I have no idea how he gets these kinds of pops. Yes he chops people, fascinating. Entirely adequate chops, but I can only watch so many comedic flops before I want him and his "old man who used to take a lot of steroids" tits off my TV.

Yeah dude you need to have a good look at more pre-95 Flair. The man was never a technical marvel, but he was an absolute master at ring psychology. Everything since 95 has been pretty much been the sunset of his career (God bless the man, if everyone's sunset could last 12 years it would be a great world!) and you should really view some older stuff to form a full opinion of the man.

I dislike Napoleon Dynamite based on the content of the movie, to be honest.

I'm a little let down by the hype behind CM Punk. Like Burchall, people fellated him, and when he didn't do the incredible stuff theyclaimed he would, they took every little thing that he did andmarked out. Mostly, I'm annoyed by watching that fucking weasel on my TV. I don't like his character, I don't like his wrestling style (Beyond the fact that a couple of the moves he does are taught in Aiki Jujutsu), I don't like his look, I don't like his attitude, and I don't like the fact that he professess to be straightedge, given 1. He isn't, 2. straightedge is fucking retarded.

Now, if you think that's because he's straightedge, I don't like the Spirit Squad. Period. Strip the straightedge, and you pretty much have my reasoning. Like Punk, they basically get "change the channel heat" from me because I don't like their characters, styles, they don't entertain me....

I've never been entertained by a Punk match that didn't include someone incredible facing him. Even then, it's not because of Punk.

Oh yeah, while I'm doing these:

Edge.

This should need no explanation, I've been explicit since day one, I hate his current character, have for quite a while.

I'll rank my top 5 'well liked wrestlers that i dont particularly like'....

5. Carlito - Just annoying to me.
4. Bryan Danielson - Remarkably overrated.
3. Finlay - He's an okay worker, but people cream over him now and I just don't get what his appeal is. He's good in the midcard but when I hear people talking about main eventing I want to puke.
2. Raven - I like Raven, really, but he has almost this bizarre cult following (pun?) and I dont understand it. Again, another guy who was good midcard and upper-midcard but shouldn't main event anything.
1. Bret Hart - Again, another guy who was a good worker. Good in the ring, good on the mic. Kinda a whiny prick too. I don't see how people can call him the 'Greatest of All Time'. He was good, nowhere f'n close to greatest of all time. NOWHERE F'N CLOSE.

Yes I agree. Lots of overrating goes on, especially with a lot of those guys on Bullet's list.

I personally like Carlito and Raven (circa 98) a lot. But I can see how they'd be overrated, though not by me. Same with Kennedy. And I agree about Finlay, the guys a good worker and I like him as a solid midcarder. But the notion of him main eventing or being a draw makes me want to puke as well.
Kennedy is entertaining, and I see potential. I like him. But he's currently way overrated and is just another example of fans jerking for anyone they see as having potential

Brets another guy who I can't make up my mind on. Like Bret Hart, consider him a legend, but also consider him to be behind a good amount of other legends on the all time list. Therefore calling him "the best" is a bit of an overrating to me.

redoneja
04-05-2007, 06:06 PM
Carlito, never liked him.

Christian, ever since his Triple Threat match with Jericho and Cena at Vengeance 2005, I haven't been a fan. Call it bad booking or whatever, I just can't get behind him.

Christopher Daniels. I used to love Chris Daniels circa 2002, 2003. Last year or so he has just gotten quite stale, IMO.

Although I respect that he is a talented wrestler, I personally can't stand HBK since he became a main eventer. I honestly don't get why so many people believe that he is amazing when it comes to promos, or that he does things for the good of the business etc. I've never gotten into the whole 'boyhood dream' crap and just don't think there's a good enough reason to watch him. Just like Cena, he's always booked to look like Superman but without a world title. HBK happens to be one of the few main event guys who I don't enjoy watching and could care less if he retired tomorrow.
