Who do you think is the greatest one-time world champion?

Also, they can't have held a combination like the WCW AND the WWF/E championships, for example.

Kane....

LOL, kidding. Probably Jericho with his UNDISPUTED Championship run.

Jericho held the WCW Championship prior to that thus he's a two time Champion...

I;d have to go with Pedro Morlales.

Pedro Morales
John Bradshaw Layfield
Eddie Guerrero

Those are the top three in any order you see fit... Benoit would be there if it weren't for that sliught WCW reign.

Curt Hennig

I think was only a 1 time champion. Correct me if I'm wrong but Andre the Giant.

I have to shortlist it to Andre the Giant, Curt Hennig, Eddie Guerrero, Taiyo Kea, Shinjiro Ohtani, Ricky Steamboat, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Akira Taue, Kerry Von Erich and Dr. X.

Out of them, I'd narrow it down further to Curt Hennig, Eddie Guerrero and Ricky Steamboat.

I'd probably finally give the nod to Ricky Steamboat.

However, you only seem to be accepting WWE and WCW Championship wins, so I'd have to change my answer to Eddie Guerrero.

It was just an example.

ECW/AWA/NWA/NJPW/Other Japanese promotions/Whatever you want to use. Just don't use some dinky-ass promotion, use "world" titles with at least some merit.

So Yoshihiro Tajiri as CZW World Heavyweight Champion doesn't count?

Two, I think he had a long reign interrupted by like a 3 month period.

And to answer the thread's question, I say JBL at this point.

Dammit, that is a bootable offense around here, funny-man.

Steamboat or Von Erich.

I'll give Curt Hennig and Eddie Guerrero honorable mentions, but I think they are a distance from a close one and two with Steamboat and Von Erich. In my book anyway...

Jericho won 3 world titles: The WCW title from the Rock, twice, and the WWF title from Austin.
