While in Tokyo I'm gonna pick up a Japanese PS3, which will support Japanese PS2 Games.
Now I've always wanted to get a Fire Pro wrestling game, but I notice there are a few around, People Say R is the Best, and there's a newer one called Returns or something.

What's the one to go for?!

Cheers

R is the latest and best yes. Although there are some hardcore types who prefer earlier versions for certain modes (there was one on the Dreamcast with some kind of superb 6-man mode) but yeah, R is generally tops.

Excellent.

Everything is falling into place perfectly.

Yeah, I love D for my DC.

Also you can download edits and option files directly to the Dreamcast VMU. It's aces.

I would also reccomend King of Colosseum II.

It's made by the same company as fire pro. It is essentially a deeper, 3-D version of firepro, with the official liscences of New Japan, All Japan, Noah, Zero-1, and World Japan.

Only catch is there arn't as many wrestlers and match types.

Both games have around the same amount of moves, although they both have certain moves the other doesn't. And KOC II has A LOT more kinds of reversals.

FPR and KOC2 are great fucking games...

I've actually been enjoying Wrestle Kingdom 2 myself...

I know very little of Japanese wrestling games, for future reference.

So I got my PS3 and Fire Pro R, couldn't afford anything else... Broke ass mofo.
It's pretty cheese, but seems cool. Looking forward to getting the english update for it. It's so confusing!

Honestly, the only thing it will help for is making edits. Once you use a translation guide for a few days, navigating the menus becomes second nature and you don't even have to look.

Can you actually use a translation pack without a mod?

I want to find an easy way to be able to play Japan PS2 imports without having to mod my PS2 or paying $200 for an import system.

don't know if it's possible KOOS. But I dunno much about PS2's

I won't be able to run a modded fire pro on the ps3, so I'm just gonna have to use the translation guide.

HD Loader. Just put a hard drive onto a network adaptor, boot this disc, then install any region games you like onto the hard drive.

Massive improved loading times on top of region free-ness and you can play modded games too.
