Lock Up--24 hour Man

Actually, the entire album "something bitchin' this way comes, but it's mostly this song and a couple others.

The band features both Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave) and Brian Grillo (Extra Fancy) in music that doesn't exactly sound like their later bands. It's one of those sorta bizarre nostalgia/"Before they were famous" trips.

Who/What/Why do you find weird?

My favorite song by Lock Up is "After Life In Purgatory".

Something I find weird: Norther's cover of "Smash" by Offspring. It's awesome, though.

I'm guessing it's the "Pleasures Pave Sewers" PoS group of the same name.

Just because you don't like them. :p

Yeah, I bet that was your defense for every hour wounds, too. :p

They weren't good enough for me to bother leaping to their defence. :(

I mean, Asphyxy's a different story. He's basically every White Wolf sycophant I've ever known...

Lock Up are good though. :p

Although it might partly be the fact they're somewhat of a supergroup and that I like the various "day jobs" of the members...

If you're referring to a band as a single entity, it's "is" and not "are."

Supergroup. Yeah, they've got big names in their group...And they're still nothing more than the usual crapcore...

The Destroyer

Grammar can kiss my arse, I know "is" is technically correct but I still think it looks stupid when used with bands for some reason. So I'll save it for formal writing or something. :p

And you're just biased against Lock Up because their drummer is fat, their bassist has a dodgy semi-afro and their singer is a Swede with a borderline drinking problem. :shifty:

Yes/...Because I actually know what they look like...

Was I ever fun?

Bart: You used to be cool.

Lisa: No I didn't.

You were "fun" by my perverse definition of the word. :shifty:

Lock Up is a fun band. I liked their first album because of Peter Tagtgren's vocals. Nick Barker's double bass in After Life In Purgatory is great.
