View Full Version : So if Konnan is Mexico's Hulk Hogan, why does he need to borrow money?

You know, for his operations?

Is MExico that broke? The exchange rate that bad? Do Mexicans just wait for it to go up on Los Youtubos?

Mexicans are dirty and poor, why do you think they look up to Rey Mysterio so much?

The funny thing is if I read reports right, he got most of his operations done in Mexico anyway.

He's the only one small enough to squeeze under the fence.

Pretty sure most of them look down on him...

Shows what you know. Most Mexicans are, in fact, Oompa Loompas.

He was probably a dumbass with his money.

He blew it on sock puppets, salads, and potatos.

I mean what other reason do you have for him always talking about people "tossing his salad and peeling his potatos" while in WCW?

:shifty:

He probably didn't need the money from TNA but figured "why the hell not".

He was probably a dumbass with his money.

True. And he never came close to making the money Hogan has.

Because like most wrestlers of his time (and probably even today) he just spunked the lot?

But surely, since he's the Mexican Hogan, he can simply make more!

And he is. Just a shame the mexican money is worthless.

It's not worthless.

I mean, there's always toilet paper...

Konnan may self proclaim himself to be something, but that doesn't mean he is. TNA still should have paid for his operation, mind you.

Just get Dr. Nick Riviera to perform the operation

TNA didn't make the proclamation, to my knowledge.

I don't agree, for a guy who's been wrestling as long as he had he was bound to be in bad shape and TNA isn't a full time company.

Plus he hasn’t even been an active wrestler for 2 years on TNA

If they should pay for anyone’s surgery it should be Sonjay Dutt’s as he did it on a TNA show due to a botched spot, it wasn’t an expected injury through wear and tear, so I feel they should cover those fee’s, but that’s just my opinion

 By that logic Mark Henry should be bankrupt by now

No, because Henry has been with the WWF/e since his career began and the WWE are a full time wrestling company, he got injured whilst working for them and has been very loyal.

If Konnan were working for a full time company then I would agree that he shouldn’t have to pay for it, long and short of it is that he didn’t.

Rob

He was working full time for TNA.

Come on man, TNA runs 2/3 times in Orlando a month and maybe 2 house shows.

That's not a full time job

TNA should have paid, plain and simple. But then again what can you expect from a company that goes after a wrestler that even the WWE figures is too much of a damaged goods to keep.

I suppose if Samoa Joe or someone breaks Kurt's friken' neck it'll not be any responsibility of TNA's?

Dave Youell
08-02-2007, 03:05 AM
If the injury happens in a TNA ring then yes I think they should pay, Konnan's injuries were long term wear and tear and were not the cause of anything specific that happened in TNA

Kane Knight
08-02-2007, 11:37 AM
I've stayed out of this, for the most part, but you could make that argument for 99% of wrestling injuries.

The question answers itself. He's MEXICO'S Hulk Hogan. Mexico's Bill Gates called me to borrow 10 bucks last week
