Would it be possible to make an off beat gimmick/character around breaking kayfabe?

Ask Nick Dinsmore.

Without doing it in a shiteating way?

....Does Big Dick Johnson count?

No I don't think people would get it. Instead they'll just find another talentless big man to call a Monster.

I had an idea a while ago about a fan who would interrupt interviews when they did them like outside or when they would give fans the mic (hell yeah, whatever) and whatnot, and it would have eventually lead to an Angle/that guy match where Angle owns him and "proves" that wrestling isn't fake.

It wouldn't be Angle, but I'd love to see them do it with the WWE Sign Guy...

WWE has a sign guy?

Yeah, they did a promo of him for the "RAW Fan Nation" and goes to a shitload of shows. Always wears a red cap and a blue shirt. Saw him at SummerSlam.

No, not like that...I'm thinking more of a comedy angle, but not farce...idk. Really just dry humor.

If it's humor they wouldn't waste breaking kayfabe on it. They'd need a serious angle to break Kayfabe.

Unlike TNA. They break it every fucking week.

I was thinking more along the line of how ever so often edge and christian said stuff like they were going to do a run in or something like that. You know, acknowledging they are heels and so forth.

Well then it's obviously possible because they've done it.

They do the "wink wink" stuff every once in a while. It's not exactly rare, but not many gimmicks based on it, granted.

OH man, that stuff was gold.

DX kind of hint towards non-kayfabe things, and they're pretty over

"Vince Loves Cock" is the ultimate in-joke.

People figure it's not true with how over the top it is. Little do they know it is true.
