View Full Version : Cena injured... to miss 6-8 months?

If this is true, quite a blow to RAW. But possible a blessing in disguise.

Don't know how reliable WWE.com is with this stuff, but that's their story.

Triple H title reign, coming right up.

This is for the best overall. The way they were booking him was so fucking stupid and this will show them not to give one guy all the attention. They need to spread it around more.

Hopefully Cena will have "the chase" when he returns and get mega-over.

So where do they go at No Mercy? Do they blow their load on Y2J, if he indeed returns? Is HBK anywhere near ready to wrestle - he could take on Orton in a pinch to make for an interesting main event.

Maybe Kennedy v. Orton?

Any ideas?

I’m thinking that we'll most likely get a Randy Orton vs. “Mr.” Ken Kennedy in a singles match for the belt. Orton should go over as Ken Kennedy is way too young for the belt, which they have hopefully realized since giving Orton AND Cena WWE Championship runs way to early on in their careers.

What a year it has been for WWE, It's like they're cursed. I wonder how this effects the return of Y2J, if at all. I thought he would've returned in the middle of the Main Event or something, like an interference, now I'm not sure how he'd debut.

Most likely idea. However, check this...IF (and only IF) Y2J or HBK is indeed set for a return at No Mercy (HBK, not so likely, more likely Survivor Series in 6 weeks than right now) they could pretend like HHH v. Umaga is still on for Sunday, only to have JBL & Cole, on Friday Night SmackDown! going over the No Mercy card, and “announcing” that It will be Orton v. Kennedy v. HHH for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match, and as such, Umaga will face a “mystery opponent” which would be either Jericho or Michaels.

No way should a heel Vs heel match main event, they always suck.

I say blow your load on the Y2J thing!

I actually saw this last night. If you look at the tape, its like right before the RKO. You see Cena bitching about his chest to the ref, then RKO, then more bitching, then RKO on table, much much more bitching..

LOL I bet this is a work. I bet they start to announce that Cena will be stripped of the title and then he comes out and is like " no SUPPPPPPPPPPPPERRRRRRRRRRRRR CENAAAAAAAAAAA " and they put him in a match andhe Super Cena's everyone in the match and win. And Cena a hero again.

wow, going to be interesting now to see who steps up. I would go ahead and put the belt on Orton and then they'll probably move HHH into the picture.

Kennedy vs Orton's a bad idea. They're both heels and they're trying to push both of them.
They should have qualifying matches for a fatal four on Raw.

Triple H vs. Orton with Triple H going over.

Jeritron
10-02-2007, 05:11 PM
I wish they didn't have shitty overbooked ppvs with 15 titles matches. That way you could just book the PPV as a tournament and have the previously booked matches carry over into the brackets with Orton getting a final round lock.

Mr. JL
10-02-2007, 05:13 PM

but Orton has been wrestling in the WWE longer. That automatically overides reality and makes Kennedy younger than Orton.

They almost deserve this since they had all this time to put the belt on Orton and they kept waiting. Should have happened at Unforgiven.

Something I proposed in another thread:

You know, they should keep the title vacant until CyberSunday and make it a Title Tourney show where "the fans" pick the first round match ups. Give them a pool of people to pick from, top 8 vote-getters are in the tournament and seeded 1 thru 8 based on the voting.

There's a poll up on WWE.com now asking who you would like to see as champ, gives you a lot of choices ranging from Brian Kendrick to King Booker to Triple H to Rory McAllister.

Maybe they're gonna have a battle royal with all those people in it :shifty:

Now this is the second time this has happened recently. They wait too long to give someone the belt, and circumstances dictate an early title change. Kind of like Punk should have won the ECW title before jobbing to Morrison all the time. Then they give him the title cus of Morrison's suspension. Now the same thing. Orton should have won 2 months ago, but should get it now due to the circumstances.

If memory serves me right, Kennedy is older than Orton.

That may be, but what I'm trying to say is if you're going to work for WWE and become a main event champ, you shouldn't just have it handed to you after only 1-3 years, like Orton, Lashley and Cena, just for starters. You should put in at LEAST 5-10 years of good solid work, and then be CONSIDERED for the title picture if you keep it up. But unless, you do, then you deserve to suffer in the low, mid, mid-upper card, or nowhere within WWE. Plain and simple.

LMAO! This is greatness. I love all of you for this.

That the WWE is even having a poll makes me think that they are at least somewhat interested in what the fans think. Of course, come No Mercy, we'll just get Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. Umaga with Mr. Kennedy possibly being added. A tournament would not be horrible, but come on...Val fucking Venis, people?

Mr. Nerfect
10-02-2007, 11:41 PM
Val Venis has over half the vote, which means 386000 people have voted for him over half the rest of the WWE talent.

If the WWE were smart, they'd listen to this, and put Val Venis in the main event (maybe have the Punjabi Prison Match close the show, and even have the ECW Title match go after this), and have Venis pull off the upset with the fans' vote getting him into the match. Have Vince open the show, and announce that the poll was in, and as a preview to Cyber Sunday, the fans got to choose who faced Randy Orton for the vacant title, and they chose..."Hello Ladies." Venis can then beat Randy Orton either cleanly (can replace the suspension of Orton), or in the same way Jeff Hardy won the Intercontinental Title, but with someone like Triple H helping out Val for whatever reason. Then he turns into a scumbag heel, much like JBL did, wearing suits, and living the Champion lifestyle, turning his back on the fans who got him there.

Of course, it will be Triple H who becomes Champion. And I will yawn.

Meh....not the way I wanted to see Cena lose the title, or go out (hate to see the WWE lose someone ELSE that they need (they lost half their "we want to use YOU until THEY are sick of you" roster to that whole pharmacy thing and 3/4 of everyone ELSE to plain injury, or death if you count Benoit)). Plus, Cena didn't seem like the type of guy that really minded the work load they gave to him (numerous house shows, appearances, filming a fucking MOVIE on the side while DOING all this, for Christ sakes), so really not the guy they needed to get injured and sidelined like this now.

10-03-2007, 07:30 AM
Im pleased that hes out for a while, but how coincidental is it for him to get injured this long just as hes probably going to have to put somebody else over? Would've been happier had he got injured AFTER he dropped the belt.

Tommy Gunn
10-03-2007, 07:31 AM
It's pretty bad he lost it because of injury, because the guy who ended Cena's reign as champion would have gotten unbelievably strong heat. Now no one gets the rub, no man can stop John Cena, Cena had to take himself out!

On the wwe.com there is a section of superstar responses over Cena being injured.

SmackDown Superstar Kenny Dykstra:

“Cena's injury can mean a lot of things, but not for Kenny Dykstra, because I’m on SmackDown. For Raw, though, it means that Superman is out. Superman is no longer there, and that means that anybody can take over his Rome.”
