I want to go grab one, but I'm a little too buzzed to drive. As a bonus, I dunno if someone made this or if it's for actual retail sale, which would make no sense considering it comes with it. But since Wii Sports is for sale individually, I can see why this looks so good then.

Print it out, use an old case or buy one from Nintendo. A little tip, EB will give you the same amount whether the game is in a case or not. So keep those cases. Comes in handy for times like these. ;)

Can't wait to play it, seeing as how the FUCKING DEMOS are the ones that are the best (Wii Sports for you noodleheads who don't understand).

Someone please chime in who has bought one already. :(

There is no Wii Zapper. There is only the Wii Blaster, which is a cheap piece of crap that you snap your Wii-mote on, and I can quite frankly build myself for a cheaper price.

There is only one true Zapper...

...and it can be modded...

This isn't to say that a Wii Zapper wouldn't be awesome...but until I see one that isn't a plastic attachment, I'm not caring.

G

Well, you either get an attachment for cheap, or you can pay upwards of over $40 for your remote zapper.

Or you can save your money and not buy either, because I'll make fun of anyone for waiting their money on that plastic piece of shit before buying an extra remote to show off their modding skills.

Same goes for any other useless assesory that comes for the Wii-mote

So the point you're trying to make exactly is that you can play light gun games with just a plain remote without attachments, right? :?:

The Zapper apparently blows anyway.

Huh...no? :?:

I was starting off half serious, but if I was making a point it's that I consider the Wii Blaster a ripoff. I mean, if it was a a whole new gun or device, I'd say cool...but as for a cheap piece of plastic that you snap the Wii-mote on? Better yet, a $20 cheap piece of plastic you snap your Wii-mote on? I don't find it worth the money and rather play the game with just a Wii-mote (which I'm technically using anyway).

As for the Zapper...well that was half joking. No chance in hell I want to promote spending $40 to take apart a Wii-mote then hook it to a NES Zapper. The reason I say though that I would make fun of the person who bought the Wii Blaster before attempting the Zapper mod is because it's more a show of electronical skill, and find it cool when people try stuff like that (wiring is something I love, so I promote modding). Really, turning an old lightgun into an Infa-red extension of the Wii-mote is almost more impractical than buying a plastic remote holder, but at least it's got the cool, nostalgic feeling where as I find the Wii Blaster just a waste of cash.

So I was in Wal-Mart today, and while browsing the electronics I saw about 7 of these in the game case. I didn't even think about looking for them while I was out today. Ran into it by accident. :(

Anyways, it's pretty awesome. I only played about 5 minutes then let my daughter play cause she was bugging me to. So after she went, my wife wanted a turn. Here we are an hour later and she is still at it.

There is also a multiplayer mode, but I haven't check it out yet. From what I read on gamefaqs, it's a turn based multiplayer not a co-op, unfortunately. Def gonna have gonna have to pick up RE: UC and the Ghostsquad game.

........And another Zapper so she won't hog it. :foc:

Is it true that the fire button sucks?

G
11-22-2007, 09:54 PM
No, it doesn't suck. It's in the right spot, so I'm confused how it would suck. If you're talking about how it actually triggers the fire (B) button, it is accurate and never misses a press.

IGN and a few people who have played it hands on all complain about the button being "sluggish," And commenting on how it's better to freehand it.

So yea, my argument here is against the Will Blaster, as seen here...

http://technabob.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/wii_blaster_shotgun.jpg

...did they build a real gun for the Wii, or are we talking about the gun above?

Have no sluggish complaints here. It actually feels really good in your hands.

Now I see why you were saying "blaster". I just thought you were confused. The blaster looks like garbage btw.

Ah...more or less seems the same to me, but meh...I guess on some games it improves the gamming experience. Still wouldn't personally buy it.

Also, this is a bit of nitpicking but it's not a light gun. Besides just being a shell, a light gun is a totally different technology than IR which Wii uses.

This is old, but I still find it hilarious.

Who said it was a light gun?

It's mostly a useless add on, and most games will probably still have you shoot with B, which is kinda lame.

Still, I'll probably pick it up for Link's Crossbow Training.

Isn't the trigger linked with the B button in any way? I always assumed it just pressed the button, which was why it was positioned right under it.

I think someone was.

Yes, and?

Anyway, so lemme get this straight. There is a zapper and a [i]blaster[/b] and they are not the same shit or what?

Mike the Metal Ed

Yes, and?

Erm... then where's the problem in making it so the B button can be used, it works with the Wii Remote, and the Zapper equally well? You can spend $20 on something that feels slightly better, or continue using the B trigger. If you spent $20 on something that became useless as soon as devs stopped supporting it, then it'd be lame.

I'm still missing your point here.

Well from what I've gathered, no. The difference between the zapper and the blaster seems to be the zapper looks like a sub-machine gun and the blaster looks like a shotgun. Otherwise they are both just shells to fit the Wii-mote and Nunchuk onto.

I think Funk just means they're different shells, which they are.
