Hogan and his dumb buddies that are worthless? The Kliq? Who?

Me personally, when I think of the nWo, I think of the Hall and Nash.

And when Sting chopped and punched his way through 20 members.

I continue to insist, without Hall and Nash, nWo would have been a 2-month, botched Hulk Hogan heel turn.

Just playing devil's advocate, though: Without Hogan, would nWo have been an ultimately unrewarding tag team run for Hall & Nash.

First I think of "Rockhouse", then I think of Hall & Nash. Not really Hogan so much. Dunno why.

I think of black and white lighting effects and the original trio doing their walk down to the ring to confront The Rock.

Hogan, Nash, Norton, Bagwell, Steiner, Vincent and the Giant.

Don't know how Bagwell works his way in there, but he ends up in most of my WCW thoughts but it's sad and creepy. Although he was funny as Steiner's lacky.

Ugh, the black-and-white effects that WWE used made me cringe. It's like passing off a paint-by-number version of the Mona Lisa as a work of art.

To me, Hall and Nash are the heart and soul of nWo. Hogan, was definately nWo, but he still sucks and is horrible and probably ruined it by bring in hit worthless friends.

To a lesser exent I accept Bischoff as nWo. Syxx/Syxx Pac/Sean Waltman/Ratboy is nWo. And maybe some dudes like Rick Rude. But that is about it. As much as I like Stiener, he is just a lump on to nWo, and barely counts.

Honestly, Hogan is the reason the NWO took off. it would never be what it is without hall and Nash though, but Hulk made them.

He also is the reason WCW died, not just the NWO.

Hogan was the shit until Starcade 97....after that the NWO should have just died.

I disagree, Hogan's ego didn't kill WCW, it was one of the biggest things to damage WCW and send it into a death spiral.

I don't know, it may not have been the defining WCW Monday Night Wars concept that it was, but they would at least have been WCW's DX.

Incidentally, when I think of the nWo, I don't think of two dozen guys beating down someone in the ring, I don't think of Hogan with the spray-painted belt; I think of Hall and Nash showing up on WCW programming with the vague implication that they were invaders from the WWF; I think of them standing way the fuck up on the top of the stadium covering up the WCW letters. Before I even think of Hulk Hogan I think of Waltman and DiBiase showing up and filling out the ranks.

I also think of how the nWo was proof that the WWF was cooler than WCW. Basically, what was nWo vs WCW? It was a bunch of WWF stars making punks out of the established WCW guys. Look, who was the nWo in it's first days? Hall, Nash, Hogan, DiBiase, Virgil, Syxx... the Giant, as far as I can tell, was the first WCW homegrown to join up, and he was nothing more than Young Andre at that point.

There were a whole shitload of guys who only ever became nWo because they were growing useless on their own. Luger, Savage, Bagwell,... a LOT of the guys that made up the Wolfpac. Being in the nWo was about as prestigious in WCW as being a 2-minute Hardcore Champion was in the WWF.

And on a final note, since I revamped my sig and it has nWo material in it, I shall now post it.
