Isn't the plot of that a bit of a knock-off of The Dark Knight Returns? So people have told me, anyway.

Mitch is good, just didn't cut the list. But really I got Steven Wright on the list and Mitch was a lot like him. So in the end I still got Mitch on there in some stupid metaphorical way that only some english teacher could really appreciate when they over analyze shit.

Pretty much anything by Alan Moore and Wolverine comics. That's what I own at least. I've read a few other things here and there, but I was never huge into comics and it's difficult jumping in this late in the game. Mitch gave me some good places to start.

One time my film and fiction teacher, said this movie has so much symbolism, that an english teacher on speed would have a hard time keeping up. Kept me laughing all the way home.

English teachers piss me off. Like they give authors to much credit. Like just cause story starts in snow, which is white. Then they can like predict the end apparently. Maybe the author just wanted it to start in snow and it had no meaning. And like water means 1000 different things, from being born to death. They just make shit fit for them, like conspiracy theories.

What does Andy Kaufman symbolize?

I like looking for symbolism, and then using it to further explain the story and add meaning behind things as much as the next guy, but a lot of the time art is just art for art's sake.

You can pretty much find symbolism in anything, but it is probably best to understand that symbolism is more a personal thing than a grander one. If anything, it should be used to justify your own love of a work, and to feed your own sense of self-superiority. It should not be passed on to others as the artist's intent.

Also, my list of recommended comedians includes David Cross, Mitch Hedberg and Conan O'Brien (although he doesn't really do stand-up).

PapaGeorgio

Like how I got this to include comedians now too. But yeah, like some symbolism I am fine with. It is the wishy washy bullshit that annoys me, like when you know the author was just filling up the page with bullshit, but you got to over analyze it and make it fit the story. Reminds me of horoscope stuff, sounds good but it is bullshit.

Infinite Crisis is awesome. And I'm not saying that for obvious reasons.

Kingdom Come should be read by everyone. And do look up Origin.
