I think they have. A guy works his whole life for something he can buy off wwe.com. discuss

I'd actually kind of like to see a gimmick where someone keeps claiming to be a grand slam champion and carries a buttload of replica belts to the ring with him.

The first person to ever hold all three world titles AND the women's championship. Who knows, with enough work they could give a replica intercontinental title more credibility than the real thing.

Yeah because what they worked for their whole life was really an oversized fashion accessory.

I think I wanna buy an IC title replica, there has to be a loophole in that "Do Not Defend At Wrestlemania" Clause printed on the back.

Yeah just like wearing a replica sports jerseys take away from the mystique of playing for the Yankees. You work your whole life to get there for something you can buy in a store.

It's not the belt itself that holds the mystique idiot.

Only someone who is stupid enough to get the real belt confused with a replica would ask a question like this.

That'd be another one on the list of ideas stolen from C-Fedding.

Yeah a first time champion celebrating in the crowd with a 1000 other people with the same belt takes nothing away at all

I think Avenger hit the nail on the head here. Case closed.

So if I walked down the ramp with one of those replicas, I'd get as much respect as the champion?

(Ignore that if Cena's the Champion, since I probably would).

if you walked down the ramp with that post count and rep on your shoulder im sure you would get as much respect if not more

Yeah because what they worked for their whole life was really an oversized fashion accessory. :roll:Exactly. The belt is a symble of the accomplshment, and not the accomplishment it's self.

Randy: Uhh...Vince I gotta talk to you about something.
Vince: Not right now. You have to go out to the ring.
Randy: That's what I wanted to talk to you about. You see, the matter of the fact is...
Vince: Well? Spit it out already.
Randy: ...I kind of can't find the belt.
Vince: What do you mean you kind of can't find the belt!?
Randy: I...lost it somewhere.
Vince: Somewhere? I bet it's up your ass along with your head.
Randy: So what are we going to do Vince?
Vince: Have somebody go to the WWE merchandise store and get a replica spinner belt right now or YOU'RE FIIIIIRRRREDDDD!!!

That is actually a brilliant suggestion for an indy fed: a wrestler carries a replica champion, claiming he is the real champion, and over time after several events, the replica becomes more important than the real championship, and actually becomes the real belt.

I know it has shades of TNA and maybe something WCW did a while back (I think), but still, it would be classic to be done in specifically that manner. ;)

Wait, this thread isn't a joke?

Or you guys just don't realize it's a joke?

Or you realize it's not a very good joke so you're pretending to take it seriously so nailz looks stupid?

It always amazes me that Hogan can be Powerbombed.

Especially considering whenever I've seen it done it at least looks like he dead-weights it.

I just had a mental image of Hogan trying to dead weight on Lesnar.

And I think I just filled the cup.

It would have to be a comedy gimmick with the toy belts. I can see a late Crash Holly doing this. On the current roster.... no idea. Maybe they could resign Nick Disnmore as Eugene and he'll come in claiming to be the IC champ after, for some unknown reason that we'll figure out later, the IC belt gets vacated.
