Davey Boy, simply the best powerhouse wrestler ever in my book. I LOVED Davey, he was one of a kind. Respect for Piper, but Davey is a top man in my eyes.

This one is tough too. Went with Piper by a hair, but probably could have gone either way.

I will be totally honest here. I did not watch wrestling when these two guys were active.

HOWEVER before you get angry, I watched a lot of their stuff by watching tapes of old PPV's and videos online. Based on this, I will vote for Piper.

I liked what I saw of him better and he seemed to be a more charismatic package.

That and Roddy Piper is pretty much a STAPLE in wrestling! You cant really think WWF without thinking Piper even if you just got into the sport!

Davey's the better wrestler and more athletic by far, but Piper's personality and promos easily eclipse that of the british bulldog which is close enough for piper to prevail in this one.

As much as I love Piper, I was always a huge Bulldog mark.

Wow, I really thought Bulldog would have more votes. He was pretty good up until like 1997 and even that run in '99 wasn't too bad.

I really wanted to vote Bulldog out of spite... but Piper is just way better. Without Davey's nationality gimmick all you have is a roided up guy with braids and a dog. And later down the line when he loses the braids and the dog, all you'er left with is a roided up guy with a funny accent.

Over 80% of the people here think Kano would lose in a fight against Rowdy Rod

Why... that's not Bulldog at all! It's Billdog! No wonder he's getting so little votes!

A terrible injustice has been served here IMHO "oh the HUMANITY".

I WILL get over this eventually, but in the interim I now have to decide between one who was far and away the better ring technician (or traditional wrestler) and one who was far and away better on the mic/entertainer.

I get enormous satisfaction from watching a classic "wrestling" match - Bulldog gave me plenty of those. I also immensely enjoy great vignettes, promos, comedy. This is getting serious now and I think it comes down to personality. Bulldog had little, Piper had lots. At the end of the day, the wrestler who comes across to me with the best entertaining personality will win, so my vote goes to...

<s>Ted DiBiase</s> <s>$1M Man</s> Goddamit!!!!

Piper.

Davey Boy Smith.

I liked both men, but personally I always enjoyed watching Bulldog more than Piper. No disrespect to Piper though.

Davey Boy is one of the greatest of all time in my book. Say what you will about his promo, but he really wasn't given too many opportunities to shine from that perspective. When he did though, I thought he did a great job.

To this day, one of my favorite feuds of all time was between Bulldog and HBK in 1996, I believe, leading up to Beware of Dog (and Beware of Dog 2). Bulldog played his part with passion and really convinced you that he was a threat.

Also, Bulldog has been in more than one of my favorite matches ever.

*Versus Bret Hart @ SummerSlam 92
*Versus Owen Hart for the inaugural European championship
*Versus Shawn Michaels for the Intercontinental title in a slept on gem from Saturday Night's Main Event in 92

Futhermore, he was part of one of my favorite stables, The "heel" Hart Foundation in 97. I just can't say enough about the Bulldog. Loved that guy.

Piper, I never could really get into. Outside of his match with Bret Hart for the Intercontinental title at Wrestlemania 8 and his little feud with The Mountie, nothing really stands out to me from him. Well, I guess I remember Robert Downey Jr. blowing smoke in his face at Wrestlemania, but still, that wasn't even very interesting to me.

Stinks to see Bulldog go down in the first round here, especially to someone as overrated as Piper.

Bulldog is still a well-known name and a respected wrestler. Plus, he does have 40% of the votes. It's not like people are shitting on him or anything. They just love Piper more.

Piper by far, more entertaining on the mic (bulldog cant touch him in that respect). As for wrestling i always liked pipers semi brawler\comedy routine more.

When I wrote that it was pretty early on but I think it was like 13-4 or something that looked like it might be more of a blow out. I JUST PANIC EASILY!

I was more of a mark for Bulldog than Piper as a kid. Plus Bulldog was hailed as being from Leeds, England (which is where I live) at one point.
