Something I usually do around this time. Summer shows are about to wrap up and new seasons start as early as tonight. Kinda wanna get a general consensus about what everybody is looking forward to.
Here's my list:
House
Terminator: Sarah Connnor Chronicles
Fringe (Probably the biggest hyped show out there.)
Knight Rider (Taking this with a grain of salt)
Sons of Anarchy
CSI
L&O: SVU
What's yours?

Is sons of anarchy the new HBO show about biker gangs?
Can't wait till the final season of The Shield starts!

Returning shows:
House
The Shield
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Prison Break
Dirty Sexy Money
Pushing Daisies
Family Guy
American Dad
The Office
My Name Is Earl
30 Rock
Entourage
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles (only watched the first half...will Netflix the rest before the season starts.)
Dexter
Brotherhood
Heroes
Friday Night Lights
24 (2-hour prequel/movie)
Lost (2009)
24 (2009)
Rescue Me (2009)
Damages (2009)
Nip/Tuck (not sure when this is airing actually...)
Battlestar Galactica (2009)
New shows I tend to give at least 2-3 episodes before making the decision to keep with it or drop it. Unless the first episode is atrocious:
Fringe
Crusoe
My Own Worst Enemy
Life On Mars
Sons Of Anarchy
True Blood
Can't think of many new shows that have got me all that interested.

Life On Mars
Have you seen the original British show? If not, and from the trailers i've seen for the US re-make, you'd be best buying the original Brit series.
Superb show.

Yes I have. Loved it. I don't have high hopes for this one but I am going to give it a chance.

Good man.
I'll probably catch a few episodes of the re-make but, as you say, hopes aren't high.
The Office
Dexter
Lost
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Big Bang Theory
Rescue Me
I'll probably try to follow Heroes and Prison Break a bit.
I recently got a pay channel package and watched all of Season 1 of Californication on demand. Pretty solid show. Watching the youngest daughter from the Nanny topless, riding agent Mulder in bed in the pilot episode was a bit of a mindfuck, but the show is entertaining.
Not much looks to be in the 'must check out' category as far as new shows go. I'll probably give Fringe and Dollhouse a go.
Law & Order
Law & Order: SVU
Family Guy
American Dad
Dexter
Entourage
