7) The Undertaker

- Although with only short reigns, The Phenom was able to secure spot number 7, with almost 20 years in the business, there is no doubt The Deadman is one of the greats.

6) Triple H

- The Game comes in at number 6, one of the best heels in federation history and the bad guy in some of the most memorable feuds, With 10 title reigns under his belt, Triple H has proved over and over he is one of the best.

5) Bret "The Hitman" Hart

- Splitting the field is Canadian great, Bret Hart, known for his pink costume, excellent technical work, and hard work ethic, among other things. Bret Hart may have been right when he said. "Im the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be"

4) Shawn "The Heartbreak Kid" Micheals

- Coming in at number 4, and only slightly edging Bret, is HBK, years this man has poured into the company have made him one of the fan favorites over a long amount of time, many younger stars seem to underestimate HBK, but when he tunes up the band, they never forget.

http://neilbeynon.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/hulk-hogan-photo.jpg

3) Hulk Hogan

- In a surprising upset, the cornerstone of 80's WWE/WWF is in 3rd place, no denying what he did for the business for many years Hogan helped carry the company to where it is today, arguably one of the most famous if not the most famous wrestler in the world, Hogan has cemented his place in wrestling History.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v315/neolithic/TheRock.jpg

2) The Rock

- The Great One shocks us all by slipping past Hogan into the number 2 spot, but not to be deceived there is no one like The Rock, and has been no one since. A hard worker in the ring, a god on the mic, a professional in the locker-room, and a man with a true passion for the business. The Rock truly deserves this spot.

http://www.starstore.com/acatalog/WWE-Austin-SP0520.jpg

1) Stone Cold Steve Austin

- OH HELL YEAH, In at number 1 is the bionic redneck, Steve Austin, leading the company in the late 90's Steve Austin was the beer-swelling, ass kicking, stomp a mudhole in you bad-ass of the WWE, doing what most wrestling viewers would love to do, in dropping their boss in front of millions of people, And arguably along with Hogan and The Rock, one of the most famous well known wrestlers of all time.

And thats the bottom line, cause Stone Cold Said So!

What makes this official?

Ric Flair shouldn't even touch this list, as he had two decently short WWF title reigns. Most of his accomplishments were in NWA/WCW.

Bruno Sammartino held the belt for 8 years and doesn't get on the list, but Jericho does?

Juan

It's based on the lists we compiled, CoE.

Yeah dude, there was a thread with some 20-30 top 10 lists.

I agree Sammartino should be on there, but who to take off?

Also, Jericho was the first to unify the titles, makes him a person that is not easily forgettable, and its personal preference really, who entertained you the most, who you thought was best, not the actual best. If that were the case, the list would not be the same at all.

This list came out looking like it was published by WWE.com, especially since Macho Man's picture doesn't load.

I tried to give it a "professional" feel.

Good list.

Rock as #2 is a good choice.

Which Backstreet Boy is that at number 9? I think a future topic should be the top 10 wrestlers who have never been WWE Champion. Like Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, Scott Hall/Razor Ramon.

Surprised the hell out me actully, I was adding up the numbers, and seen that The Rock had over 200 points total, and Hogan has 180 something, and was like holy shit.

That is an excellent idea TN, I think I will put that in a poll for the next top 10 list.

The Naitch

fuck Hogan. Hogan is a fucking joke. No right man would put Hogan in front of The Rock. I know he "dominated the 80's" but seriously, The Rock is FAR SUPERIOR to Hulk Hogan

better on the mic, better in the movies, beat him in at WM18 and NWO2003, The Rock owns Hogan. And I think Rock holds more titles than Hogan.

Conclusion- Fuck Hogan.

Juan

But if wasn't for Hogan there wouldn't be The Rock.

El Fangel
09-13-2008, 10:56 PM
Exactly, I hate Hogan as much as the next person, but he entertained in the 80's and helped get the company where it was in the 90's ( I almost said where it is today, but in that case I could not argue why you say fuck Hogan.) And his feuds with Piper, Andre, and others are stuff of WWE/F lore

The Naitch
09-13-2008, 11:31 PM
fuck Hogan. If there was no Hogan there wouldn't be no BROOKE KNOWS BEST

ps- FUCK HOGAN

The Naitch
09-13-2008, 11:32 PM
what I'm trying to say, is that although Hogan made the 80's he will never be before The Rock, that's why I agree with the list

ps- FUCK HOGAN

I disagree entirely.

Flair and Savage tie at #10? Are you out of your god damn mind? They both deserve probably top spot. I'd actually throw in Savage one spot higher than Flair but don't let the WWE hear me say that since we're supposed to hate him and treat him like his legacy was a joke.

But if wasn't for Hogan there wouldn't have been the same platform for The Rock to perform.

Fixed.

Flair was a great champion and a great wrestler, but didn't get enough time to be a great WWF champion and since that was the only thing taken into account, I'd agree.

Everyone who didn't put Hogan first is quite clearly WRONG, and has a VENDETTA against his straight edge lifestyle....

Oh...I'm getting my VENDETTAS mixed up here.

BTW, Jericho was a horrible champion, not a knock on him, he was booked horribly, and he is barely into his title run now. Batista is better than Jericho, thus far.

But Dancin' Dave was a World Heavyweight Champion, not a WWE Champion.

Exactly, if there was no HOT ROD, there would be no HULKAMANIA anyway.

The Rock should not be number two.

123 should be Austin, followed by Shawn and Bret in any order you wish.

To be fair even a 'real' list wouldn't be right, each person to hold the title has brought something new to the table, each reign different, maybe not storyline wise but seriously you can't rank these men with numbers, they are all great in their own way.

He had quad surgery and missed the list. ZING!
