So is this the name of the RKO/Priceless stable? If so, I like it.

Lose the "The".

Yeah, but they can't come out and say "WE ARE LEGACY"

Sure they can. It sounds better that way.

Juan

It's like Michael Jordan coming out and saying "I AM LEGACY"

I dunno, just doesn't sound right, to me anyway.

Juan

Plus, I assumed it was THE Legacy since Randy Orton said “Tonight the legacy is born.”

I don't care whether "the" is there or not. I love the name

The Legacy is a kickass name. I love it.

I can't wait for Ted Dibiase Jr. to return to make the stable complete.

Personally? I'd love for the stable in its entirety to eventually turn face. I know there's like a 0.000000000001% chance of that happening, but it would be something different.

Orton makes his boys into men. They may not like him, but they damn sure respect him...and that's what its all about.

The fans want to cheer Orton. It's obvious.

In my opinion - an Orton/Cena heel-face switch (a la Bret/Austin WM-13) would rule beyond belief if it happened at Mania.

Juan

I think a double turn (ala Hart/Austin @ WM13) between Orton and Cena would probably the best thing WWE could do.

:shifty:

If there's one thing that we can learn from past Wrestlemania main-events, it's that the fans LOVE unpredictability.

-We saw it with Austin/Bret WM-13
-We saw it when Austin did the unthinkable and sided with Vince
-We saw it when "Hulkamania" was reborn at Wrestlemania 18
-We saw it when Triple H did the 'DX' chop against Cena and was cheered heavily at Mania'.

They loved it because Austin won the belt in Texas, but fans left in droves when Austin turned.

It will be good when Dibiase comes back, but I really think they need a guy who is somewhere between Orton and the rest... I mean, Orton is a main event player essentially hanging around with rookies.

BigDaddyCool
12-10-2008, 02:16 PM
I disagree with WWKD, I do not believe it is Orton hanging around with Rookies, but Orton hanging around with pure bloods.

Also, I like simple names like the Legacy, Evolution, and so forth. Long overly complicated names for stable start to sound dumb and just aren't subtle.

What Would Kevin Do?
12-10-2008, 04:12 PM
I get that they're pure bloods, it's just... He's so far above them, I think it's going to end up looking like Orton and his lackeys.

BigDaddyCool
12-10-2008, 04:17 PM
He has been yelling at them and giving them very tough love thus far. I see him grooming them.

Who would you toss in to even it out? Umaga? Hopefully not the Colons.

BigDaddyCool
12-10-2008, 04:20 PM
Either that, or it is kind of suppose to look like Orton and his lackeys. Him promising to bring them up, but mostly just so he can get what he needs from them and leaving.

Was Flair and HHH way too far above Orton and Bats? Worked out well there.

Orton and Batista are different though. They both had a good look/aura (Batista more than Orton). It wasn't a stretch to say that Orton or Batista would be champs someday. I highly doubt we'll ever see Cody or Manu holding the big belt.

I thought about Umaga, but he's too similar to Manu. Not the Colons, but maybe Carlito himself. He's probably the closest thing to a second generation star that the WWE has to is between Orton and the other 3.

BigDaddyCool
12-10-2008, 04:52 PM
Fuck Carlito, he sucks. Cody has already been a 3 time tag champ. Manu probably isn't going anywhere. I think you are selling them short.

Manu brings nothing to the table.

He is muscle, I guess. Umaga would have been better though.

What Would Kevin Do?
12-10-2008, 05:02 PM
Manu looks... just.. out of place. He doesn't fit their "image", and he looks to out of shape/intimidating to be muscle.

Honestly though, I still think only Dibiase Jr. has a real future. I don't see Cody going higher than IC level ever. Dibiase can probably at least get a main event feud someday.

BigDaddyCool
12-10-2008, 05:07 PM
I don't see how Ted is better than Cody.

But I agree, Manu looks like a samoan Mick Foley. I don't know what he needs to do to fit the image the rest have.

BigDaddyCool
12-10-2008, 05:14 PM
I don't know of a good canidate for the groups muscle that would fit the image actaully, beside the obvious Umaga, if they cleaned him up.

Sadly, I see Dibiase coming back as a face and catching a beatdown instead of rounding out the group. It's just WWE logic.

<font color=goldenrod>I'm thinking DiBiase will return by interfering in an Orton match against a face...fucking Orton out of the match, feigning a face turn...only for him to turn around and clock the face, joining the group and showing he was in on it the whole time.

I can see the Legacy being big. You could have Orton going for the WHW title, possibly Cody using the Raw/ECW exchange to go after the ECW title, DiBiase going for the IC title. Hell, they could even have Deuce drop his gimmick, announce his heritage, and join up as a tag specialist with Manu to go for the tag belts...though I'm pretty sure the only place he's going is the unemployment line.</font>

I don't think Manu looks too bad. Maybe because I see him as really the only guy who fills that slot (I can't see Umaga in there).

I agree about Ted. I could definitely see him as a main-event guy in the future. I can also see Cody continuing to suck cock in the ring and fail at cutting promos.

I think what they've done with CAWdy has more or less gotten him over as an arrogant second generation wrestler. He doesn't particularly stand out as somebody who is going to dominate the main event, but he is poised to back up Orton. I agree that Manu doesn't really fit; probably because his dad is a tag competitor. They pretty much need to flesh out the rest of the group as more than Orton's lackys.

I don't think Cody's so bad in the ring. Actually, I think he's pretty good.

But like somebody else asked...what's so different about Dibease? I like him, but I don't see why he has a much better chance than Cody.

Bingo. That's exactly where I see it going. Ted DiBiase returns as a face, and they use it to make him stand out for a bit, and perhaps to promote The Marine 2 on DVD. Cena, DiBiase and maybe a guy like Batista form the "Anti-Legacy" face group, but then DiBiase sells them down the river to return back to his roots, and develops some heat of his own as a potential rising star in the heel ranks.

Let me just say this, though: I think we are beyond Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase as a tag team. They have already been made to stand out separately (somewhat), and they've held the World Tag Team Championship twice together, defeating John Cena & Batista for the belts once. I just can't see a reason to move them back onto Rhodes & DiBiase. They won't get anything from it. I believe it is time to move each of them in different directions.

He's gearing up for a return with TJ Wilson.

This is correct, and this is where I think he would be best suited. A tag team run with TJ Wilson as The Stampede Bulldogs on SmackDown! could be very cool. The matches with Carlito & Primo would be fun, and it gives Natalya something to do (managing her cousin and her boyfriend). I see them as the WWE Tag Team Champions and WWE Divas Champion at some stage -- and I see it ruling.

You know some of the great stables do not necessarily have to have World Champions or future world champions in their stable.

Look at the attitude era version of DX

Road Dogg- Held tag team titles and the IC title and maybe the Euro title, and I do believe the Hardcore title.
Billy Gunn- See Road Dogg
X-pac- Held the Euro title and the Hardcore title
Chyna- Women's title and IC title
HHH- The exception to the group. Held the World title but primarily after he was out of D-X

Look at the nation's version in the Attitude Era.

The Rock- IC title
D'lo Brown- Euro title
Mark Henry- The obvious muscle
Godfather- Held the IC title
Owen Hart- Euro title

Point is, all these superstars came together. Some will never hold a world title and that's fine. That's not the point of some stables. I just think because we saw how Evolution was and how they turned out World Champions in Batista and Orton, that we expect the same.

If believe that they should give the IC title to Dibiase when he comes back. Put him on the path that Orton was on. Remember, Orton held the IC title and won the World title at the very end of his evolution run. Same with Batista when it relates to the World title.
