I just watched this film last night and I have to say that it is fucking awesome.

Great in a cheesy, B-movie way. But the sequels are shite.

Nothing compared to the book, but not without it's goofy charms.

B-Movie or not, it practically fathered 80% of FPS shooters since they went console. The special effects were freaking awesome. ILM were Gods back then.

I remember seeing it in sixth grade. Everybody was excited because we had gotten wind of the gratuitous shower scene. Then we had to wait in line to call for a ride home on the pay phone. That is my review of the movie. 7/10

I remember going to the theater to see it and loving it. People were calling it shit as we were leaving and I disagreed with them. They didn't get it.
Some people just don't get it.

I saw half of the third one, I believe, and thought it was really good. My friend gave me the second one for christmas and I didn't even watch it yet.

Maybe I wouldn't like to know more...

They are all B Grade movies really but I often hire all three out and have a watch.

I also like the way the news segments are situated through out the movie.

I loved its Propoganda news, like in RoboCop.

Same Director I think.

great movie in a horrible way.

I still to this day would love a Starship Troopers MMO :)

Why were they B movies? They seem good enough to be A movies....:wtf:

Robocop and Total Recall blow this out of the water as far as Paul Verhoven goes. I didn't really like Starship Troopers, even in a goofy movie type of way.

It lacked a Denise Richards full-frontal nudity scene, which stopped it from being truly great. I'm sayin' what you are thinking.

The only good bug is a dead bug.

Also, this was not the first time I've seen this movie; just the first time in many years, and I wanted to give appreciation to it. It is very B-movie in the sense that it has a lot of cliche situations, characters and lines, but it still has awesome special effects and was shot with a considerable budget.

Love the satirical nature of the movie.

I love this film! I think I was 12 or something when I first saw it, so obviously I didn't get any of the political humour etc, it was just a great action/sci-fi film! Anyways, even today I enjoy watching it, and I think the CGI is some of the best I've ever seen (considering how most CGI looks absolute bollocks these days).
